Wildcard destroyed twins and triplets. I haven't seen twins or triplets in months, and i have been raising thousands and thousands of dinos. They broke it with adding the egg incubator i think?

No I bred 24 Shadowmanes yesterday and got twins from 5 of them

Great video Tiia, love seeing myths busted. But a small question if you would. Now this goes back a couple years ago when I played on official pve. Gachas. If I remember correctly and I could be wrong here. They didn't need to be near the parents but near an adult Gacha and in render for them to auto generate food. I remember them starving if I put the baby's far away from another Gacha. I know you said you looked at the dev kit. So I was just curious if either I'm remembering wrong or I just had bad luck with those things 😅

Their method was never changed. But in the beginning they would produce crystals that messed it up even more because they would use the food for Crystal production instead and then starve.

Great video as usual.. But not a minute after watching i am here with a breeding question... Is it true that if you flip the mutation counter to negative (Pass 255M on the counter) you will be able gain mutations from the baby that gains the negative counter?

Negative Mutations abuse a glitch thats in the game and thats why I am (as a Content Creator) not allowed to "promote" this glitch because its a not intended mechanic. but aside from that. The mutation counter doesnt reflect mutations. You are limited by the actual stats.

Tiia, you forgot about Gachas when talking about max level which would be 8*255 + 1 (2041)

There are some exceptions to it. Not only Gachas. But I will put that into the new breeding video thats in the making. For now it was easier to divide into flyers and non flyers to not make the video too long. But I have it in the back of my head for the next big one!

If you were really bored and had the time couldn't you breed level 3571 dinos? (based on 7 stats) as far as I understand it the 255 thing is just the limitation of the data being stored in an 8 bit integer and not a hard coded cap, once a stat goes over 255 it will loop back round to 0 on a restart and continue adding the rest of the points, I'm not stupid enough to attempt it with breeding but have seen it on a server with very high level wilds where taming them pushes some stats over 255 and they basically become crap after a restart If someone was mad enough to do it then it should be possible? or maybe even go around 3 times (5363 if my maths is correct) Sorry just being pedantic 😉😆

At 255 points the stat will be locked and you won't be able to level up that stat anymore. Yes, 255 is the cap, but 254 is is the max with which you will still be able to level up the stat.

@@SteveFisher0571 They did add a mechanic the same patch where they locked that you cant level over 450 on official anymore, where they also check if a mutation would go over 255 and then not let it happen. so I think the looping wont work anymore. Haven''t tested it yet tho.

Maybe you explained before and I missed it, but how (according to the mut cap) is possible to have a dino with 321654987/20 on both mom and dad?? even shows -321654987/20 sometimes.. Because I bought many of creatures with those numbers and imo that feeds the rumor of "unlimited mutations"

thats why I said the mutation counter has nothing to do with the mutations an animal has, therefore you don't get "infinite mutations" since these are capped by the stat cap.

Singleplayer doesn't have the 450 cap either. you can go to level 1600ish if you want to and are patient mutation

actually, the lv cap should be 10M if no change of lv cap be made. The 255 stat cap only apply for stat, once reach 256 in one stat, the game will -256 on that stat until below limit, but the lv WILL NOT change, so you can have a million lv dino that can give you enough exp to your character lv cap, but deal small dmg like a regular one

and certainly people can breed infinite mutation, by keep make mutated dinos mate together, since baby will add up the mutation number (not stat) from parents together, so if you want to waste your time, you can keep breed and generate waste mutation number to a huge number....to show off i assume
