I keep telling people, Tijuana is currently a diamond in the rough, once the security improves it could be one of the best cities in the west coast, it’s surprisingly walkable despite not having a metro yet and the fact you can cross to the US and back by walking, it just needs a couple more development but it’s seems to be going the right way so far.

@@ZorroTravelsTheWorld I'm happy to see your positive attitude and mindset out there, my problem was that everyone around me at the time was negative and kept showing me local news saying "look what they do to foreigners etc etc" kinda got tired of it..I wish u the best out there n look forward to more content ✌️

I love this neighborhood. I was raised educated and still own a home in that neighborhood I currently live in the US, but I used to get shit on my living in that neighborhood . I crossed the border every freaking day to work after 9/11 I decided to go to the states and hence that’s where I currently on my business They used to call it a shit hole and now everybody wants to live in my neighborhood, I’ve never seen so many foreigners in my freaking life, but it is a real safe neighborhood. I used to be able to walk in the middle of the night home All the way to the top of La Cacho. Cumbres, I do recommend this neighborhood. The majority of the people that live there have been living there for ages. My dad bought his house in the early 70s and the neighborhood just exploded. I miss home and I’m looking forward to moving back as soon as I can get my son out of grad school, this is the only reason I’m still in this country but I miss that old neighborhood. I still go there every weekend because as you can tell, there’s more life out there than here we’re not even knowing you’re freaking neighbors here is normal. From garage door the garage door now you understand why Mexicans despite earning enough money to live in the stage, still decide to live out there. It’s the camaraderie and how the people treat you there. I don’t see you the color of your skin or country or just happy that you’re contributing to our economy and that you respect our culture.

@@ZorroTravelsTheWorld you should also go cover the tacos that are behind the soccer stadium. They’re called taco miendo, they both these large tacos that are served with a slab of meat and a chile Riano along with grilled onions and cheese if you want. I don’t believe that their prices have skyrocketed yet because they’re still in an area where mostly locals live. There’s a huge Sana in the corner. Just keep going on that same street and you’ll see it on the corner, I think a lot of the tourist would like these because this is the only place in Tijuana that serves them this way. I’ll send you under separate cover a list of other places you should hit the city so you don’t limit yourself to areas you have not ventured, there’s more than meets the eye out there. my city is full of so many outstanding restaurants and hands-down. I could say that I’ve had literally the best food in this city compared to other states I’ve traveled in Mexico.

New subscriber here in L.A. Good video! I've been to a lot of the Mexican tourist destinations, including Tijuana several times, but haven't been to TJ in about 15 years. My friend and I discovered the best time to drive back across the border into the U.S. -- on Christmas day. We played a hunch that everybody would already be wherever they were going for Christmas and it paid off. There was nobody in line at the border and it took us all of a minute or so to answer a few questions and proceed through. It was great. I'll be in San Diego next month for TwitchCon, so I may pop down to TJ while I'm there.

I like your videos, keep up the good work. I am also thinking on moving there, looks like it is not that bad to live in TJ. Media portrays it like a war zone, but you are letting us know another reality. Maybe you can interview a family that lives there and work in SD and an upper class family...just to see the two sides and for a few minutes to see what they enjoy about living there (besides the economy)...Thanks, Zach!

I love your video content how you expose unknowing visitors of "La Cacho" to its wonderful restaurants, bars, ice cream shops and hole in the walls. However, it would be wonderful if you panned your camera a little slower allowing us to fully grasp what it is you are seeing and giving my brain the necessary time to decipher the images without feeling woozy. We have been following you for a few weeks now and several times have had to turn your videos off to reset our vision/equilibrium. Aside from my complaints/suggestions; we really love TJ and travel there whenever we can.

We do have zoning restrictions, and unfortunately, unfortunately the officials don’t follow it and despite submitting complaints, you really never get anywhere unless you are willing to pony up some cash somebody to remove their business in front of their house either a flower shop or a coffee shop, which is the issue because it’s not zone for that but given that we have a hugeinflux of people coming into the city people are just bending the rules just make extra cash
