@@hazel1946 I get you. If you understand that, Chinese history was heavily influenced by Buddha and Buddha was originated from India/ Sri Lanka. So both sharing some common elements. I believe that's reason you find Indian elements there.That is what I understand from Chinese social media. I can see that Chinese admit Buddha influence. But I don't think the first costume is Han culture. Not sure which ethnic. Don't worry that they will claim Indian culture.

@@jenniferisintherain6343 China doesn't tend to claim Indian clothing or culture, they seem more interested in claiming disputed territories. Traditional Chinese dresses are extremely different from Indian ones depending on the dynasty. There were most definitely similarities due to Silk Road + Religion but for the most part "Han" clothing which is why it's called "Hanfu" as the "Han" Chinese who are the ethnic majority in China which also is the most popular in China (what most of these girls and guys are wearing) is pretty unique to China and its eastern neighbors (Koreans and Japanese respectively as those three historically shared much trade in between their countries) my feeling is that China's clothing more closely resembles Indian when nearing the border between China and Nepal / India.
