Good hack! To make even easier , flash cure you nail for 10 seconds. That way, you don't need to hold form on with clip. After 10 seconds, turn your nail over and fix the underside. The form is set in place after 10 s3conds. Result is quick and less overflow on the cuticles.

I just got the kit. I have never been able to do my own nails can't afford to go to the salon. This kit has made it soooo easy to do my own nails. Its definitely a game changer for me. Not one who knows anything about acrylic nails. So far I love these!!! Thank you.

I have found a way to do this without the clip, after a month of struggling with flooded cuticles and super thick bottoms of the nail I figured out that if you put the gel in the dual form and shape the whole nail before you put it on the nail you can do it super thin against the cuticle and when you put it on the nail I just hold the free egde down with my other hand so it's snug against the cuticle, then I flash cure it for about 15 sec so I put both my hands in the lamp, hold the nail down until it sticks but I cover the free egde so it doesn't get cured, after that you can smoothe out the underside of the nail without the clip because it's already stuck from the flash cure. Hope that makes sense haha

Yes, you just have to lightly rough up the inside of the nail tip area that will be over the nail plate area of the nail so the artificial nail tip doesn't pop off. Nao Nail and Young Nails have good videos on applying Apres/Gel-X dupes, using gel, polygel, and acrylic. I think LongHairPrettyNails also has a video, or two.

SO awesome, thanks !!! I’m trying this for the first time tmrw. My hands gotten so bad i sent from doing my own powdered acrylics, to polygel freehand, to polygel w/forms & that’s too much now. Clips will be here tmrw. Haven’t been able to paint/nail art FOREVER, so I use brush on latex & let it dry before I bake it in my 240 lol..,I have foils coming up try also tmrw. Super excited about that too.

No love no polish under the slip solution I think ur referring to is a liquid that they provide with the polygel kits that help move the polygel around without it sticking hope that answers ur question

I got a polygel kit yesterday and tried it out and it didn't work for me, AT ALL! Someone said the most important part is to find a dual form that fits perfectly, and if you can't find one to file one down to fit you. I did that and my nails looked awful. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. If my nails would have turned out just okay I would have been fine with it since it was my first time. But they turned out terrible. I don't even want to try again.

It helps to keep the dual form in place while you smooth out the free edge area of the polygel. Without the clip, if too much pressure is accidentally used with the brush, the dual form could accidentally pop off and you'd have to start all over again.
