Bailey The Random Hufflepuff You should defiantly go for theater if you have a natural singing voice. If you have a stutter, theater is a good way to work to help it. There’s a girl in my theater division with Tourette’s, and she finds a way. To remember your lines, just remember to pick up on cues in the conversation. 1:50 so relatable. I remember one musical where my grade had a big history project due Monday after performance weekend. By big I mean complete with board, essay, and memorized speech. We got an extension, but sleep was a rare luxury that week.

Common types of theatre kids I've come across: 1. The Hamilton obsessed quirky girl 2. The one who's always the lead 3. The one who's basically the older sibling to everyone and is really talented and nice but you're too afraid to approach them because they're so cool 4. The one who doesn't try and you're not even sure why they auditioned in the first place 5. The one who quits after 1 rehearsal 6. The tryhard 7. Me, the one who nobody notices and everyone forgets the name of.

I’m really good at acting but not really singing, so I always get main roles for plays, but only decent roles for musicals.

My school friends think I'm weird for being in theatre, but it's just so fun ! You literally make a family out of the cast and it's amazi.g for people's confidence. My friend has anxiety and social anxiety and now she is shining thru because of theatre

Tech week (for me at least), isn't bad at all. And I'm the *prop master* for a lot of our shows! I'm good at time management, and make sure all props are ready a week before tech week, so I can train my crew on how to be stagehands because I don't trust their freshman gremlin hands with the sword and staff I spent the last week building from scratch. Then during tech week, I can relax while everything in props runs smoothly according to my maps, making occasional fixes, and helping put out the fire that is the construction department!

POV: it’s right after the last show, your tech crew knows that you will be talking to your family for 3 hours so they make you take off your mic first, you remove your mic tape from your neck and pull out 19374829 tiny neck hairs, you almost start crying and so the other cast members who didn’t notice you were taking off your mic are like, oh it’s okay I’m so sad too and your just like oh yeah it’s so sad but really you are about to cry because you just destroyed your little hairs and now you have a red mark on the back of your neck in the shape of the tape so yeah that’s fun

My favorite part of doing theater was the daily sacrifice before each performance. It was normally a tech guy/make artist/a random cast member. We'd circle the person yelling "SACRIFICE! SACRIFICE!" Until a Senior came with the fake knife and pretended to stab them, they we'd cheer before finishing everything up on stage.
