Very interesting, tiki 30 too small, 38 too big, can’t wait to see ship completed.. fair sailing, Ray.

Hello, I am also seriously considering the Tiki 30 for my next build. Did you modify the height of the bulkheads to get standing headroom in the hulls? Or do the plans already provide standing headroom? The 30' and 31' Wharram's are about the perfect size I think...i mean for my own needs, of course. I was first considering the Tiki 26' and still am. But I just don't like only having crawl space and sitting headroom only. Are you going to build the deckpod as well? I just found your channel,so I'm going to start binge watching. I was also considering "Leons Cat" from the TCP mag. issue #75. But I've been in love with the Tiki's for so long, it's hard to let the design go. I want to build a vessel that will let me liveaboard and travel from Thailand, to all the Indonesian Islands and beyond. You're build looks excellent! Where are you building it?

Hi Kai , the standard tiki 30 does not have standing headroom .my inspiration came from a utube video of a stretched at build tiki 33 built in Thailand it just looks so much better sailing next to a standard 30 .check out utube catamaran wavedancer .so I bought an unfinished project and went the hard way of cutting and stretching the hulls .then I came up with the idea of adding a extra plank ,as well as taller cabin to just achieve headroom .it's been a lot of extra work but eventually worth it I hope .I've also incorporated the underseat area as part of the hull to give me a wider berth ,two central outboard pods, and wider bench space in the rear ,the challenge has been to build all this strong enough but still light .I'm in Western Australia ,indo Islands are also on my radar
