Saquon Barkley agreed to a three-year, $37.75 million deal with the Philadelphia Eagles. However, one former New York Giant was not thrilled with the move. While on WFAN, Tiki Barber said that Barkley is now "dead to us." Colin Cowherd reacts to Tiki's comments. He then discusses whether Kirk Cousins is worth the money. The QB signed a four-year, $180 million deal ($100 million guaranteed) with the Atlanta Falcons.

They won that year because they got a few breaks in the playoffs and had a better team as they picked up Shaun O’Hara and drafted Aaron Ross. Tiki had over 2,000 yards the year before, you don’t think he would have been an asset to the team?

I seriously don’t understand why Saquon needs to have loyalty to the giants. He never asked to be drafted to nyg, he gave his all when he was on the field but the team never built a good roster and pays “Daniel jones” 40 mil a year. If Saquon stayed “loyal” they would’ve just dumped him as soon as it became convenient. Only way I would be made is if he signed with KC.

ATTENTION COLIN COWHERD: There's 2 sides to every story. In the case of Daniel Jones - Not many had a problem with the Giants paying him the big contract money at the time because he was coming off a big post season year and all signs point to the possibilities he had a bright future. Who could have predicted Daniel Jones would suffer a major set back and end up with a season ending injury ??? So the Giants can't be blamed for that. In the case of Saquon Barkley - The Giants DID Offer him a multi - year deal worth $14Million a year in guaranteed money, But he wasn't satisfied with that. He wanted more. Much More. A player can always SAY he's commited to a team but in the end - MONEY wins out every time. The Giants have bright future ahead of them regardless. They traded for pass rusher Brian Burns to add to the unit of Kavon Thibodeaux and Dexter Lawrence. That sets them up to having one of the top pass rushing defenses in the NFL. They also took their first step to improve the offensive line by signing free agent Jermaine Eluemanor. Devon Singletary from the Texans will be Saquons replacement. May not be as good, But he gets enough yadeages to move the chains and is not as injury prone. Other signings have been done as well. I imagine at this rate the Giants will have a much improved roster even without Saquon Barkley before the season begins. If they draft the right quarterback of the future - The Giants are in business. Finally - No matter how much talent the Eagles have on their roster - Their organization hasn't been the same since they lost 2 of their top assistant coaches to head coaching jobs. In Fact - They've taken a major step back. An injury prone Saquon Barkley who's best years are behind him is not going to make much of a difference.

Most Giants fans understand why he went to Philly, but us as fans we don't really care why he went there we just know that he decided to enter the locker room of our most hated rival. We were hoping Barkley would get his pay just not with Philly or Dallas, because we wanted to continue rooting for him and wishing him success. No one can deny Saquon Barkley has always been a loyal and hard working player, but he can't do much for the Giants without a good offensive line and a deep threat wide reciever. Almost every NFL defense can stop him if he is the only player that can hurt them. The Giants are better off with the money they saved by getting rid of him and the Eagles will be able to use his talents much better. Unforunately, he is probably going to punish the Giants twice a year for getting rid of him. The big mistake that makes the Giants look really bad is letting him go to an NFC East team.

@ Dcong and d-zatzer: I'm not a fan of either team, or any NFC East team for that matter. That said, you guys are living on past gloriest. The Eagles have been to two Super Bowls and won one since the last time the Giants sniffed one 12 years ago. For all their flaws, the Eagles appear a whole lot closer to getting back to one right now than do the Giants, who have an expensive bust at quarterback, no running back, just lost their best safety, have a coach that has not yet proven hmself in New York, and a ton of other holes to fill. At this moment -- which is all that really counts unless you're doing an historical documentary -- the Eagles are the superior-run franchise, while the Giants seem to be in disarray.
