Frankies Tiki Room bought a bar that was in that location since the 50's called Frankies Bar and Cocktail Lounge. The stench has been there since then. Ha. They kept the name Frankie as a nod to the neighborhood bar that was there prior. Cheers from a Vegas local.

Been to both many times…. Saw Hangten Hangmen at Golden Tiki… and the drinks were spot on… love Frankie’s, and love watching newbies walk in on a sunny afternoon!

We really loved The Golden Tiki . The drinks were properly mixed. The food was great. Atmosphere is the best around. They have live bands or a dj. They also have their own mugs now!

Great show and loved the discussion about the two Tiki Bars. I always enjoy both the Golden Tiki and Frankie’s and the drinks are awesome at both with my favourite the Kahiki Kai at Frankie’s and the Banana Batida at Golden. Outstanding food at Golden too! Can’t wait to be there again soon during Viva🍹🗿

I just did this trip last weekend. You guys have the PERFECT characterization of each place...exactly as I might have described it myself. I'd say it is de rigueur that one do BOTH , not either or. After two drinks at Frankie's, I returned to my hotel and passed out....and I didn't even feel that drunk. Next time, I'll be more careful. I found one new place that you folks might like...it's the Speakeasy over at the Mob Museum....a real old time 'speak' with nice live period jazz. Pretty good drink menu too although I just couldn't quite take the white lightning and the moonshine. By the way, when they slide the shuttle at the door, don't forget to whisper the password...."Rum Row"

Frankie's will always be my favorite, mostly for atmosphere, but I think I like the drinks at Golden Tiki a little more. I just had a less-than-stellar experience at Golden Tiki that I haven't quite been able to get over yet.

Frankie’s and Red Dwarf have affordable tiki mugs and their so cool too. Golden Tiki have good ones but so much more.

Your descriptions for Frankies reminds me of the Alibi in Portland. I'm not keen on the drinks there, they are strong and classic. But I did enjoy visiting, cuz, you gotta! I'm headed to Vegas soon and this was really helpful. Mahalo for making this one!

Frankie’s and Golden Tiki definitely have their own unique experiences. I visit Vegas 4-5 times a year and when I take friends who’ve never been to a tiki bar, I usually go to Golden Tiki because of the overall experience. Plus, they have a food menu. When my fiancé and I want a night of garage, surf, and exotica music with some good stiff drinks we head to Frankie’s . You really can’t go wrong with either bar. Visit both people!

Make a reservation at Golden Tiki. Its busy during Viva. Frankie's does'nt do reservations. Oh and GOOD LUCK!!!!

100% go to both. It's tradition everytime we go to Vegas. I will say when responding to that question, if your sensitive to the smell of smoke, you may need to skip Frankie's. The drinks are so good and worth the stench of smoke to me but some people I've taken just couldn't handle it. Especially when people are actively smoking nearby. I've never been to Golden Tiki and been around or smelled smoke. The Golden Tiki bathroom is a must see 😂.

Vegas local... Frankie's is my favorite. Frankie's is if you like dive bars. golden Tiki is if you like spectacle. Drinks are better at Frankie's. Golden tiki is if you like to take pictures for IG.
