Thanks for the video! I read that same mag hack but the directions were vague at best. It really helped to actually see it and the results. I’m currently building a tikka 7mm rem mag into a 300 wsm by way of a preferred barrel blanks carbon fiber barrel. Due to how close we are to hunting season, it will be a short action with a bolt stop from mountain tactical, but I plan for next season to run it in a grayboe phoenix and do the mag mod you did to run loads with a coal of 3.1” or longer so this video helped with the magazine issue. Thanks again.

Nice work. I shoot left hand Tikkas as well. Currently have a 300WSM I converted to long action, seating bullets out also. Didn't know that about the mag though. I've been wondering if paint would stick to the factory stock. I'm going to try it. Thanks!

man once i learned about the tikka action doing this mod it makes me want to throw away my 700 project and go to this. I just had a sako style bolt done so it would chamber better and i was thinking of going to a chassis stock but not sure if i would ever be able to put in the bigger 165bullets and space out the bullet farther, and i see it in a s.s set up compared to my regular steel 700 and i hate the bottom mettel on the 700 the dang thing keeps opening up on me. this fixes all of it. still wondering if i someone makes a light weight chassis for the tikka i would like a 6lb 270wsm
