Tikka T3x "UPR" Ultimate Precision Rifle (6.5 Creedmoor out to 1000 yards!)

The Tikka UPR was like virtually every other Tikka that I've reviewed, silky smooth action, comfortable to shoot and sub-moa accuracy. I liked the UPR stock and it made shooting out to 1000 yards very enjoyable. I couldn't find a fault with the rifle.

Just got my t3x upr in 6.5 with 24" barrel. I shot berger 130gr and held a .25" group at 100 yds. Shot 140gr bergers at 460 and held a 2" (on the dot) group with 4 shots. This rifle is insanely accurate. My dad has the tac a1 and I will say I love the ergonomics of the upr stock a lot more. Feels great. The berger 140s were traveling at about 2740fps (advertised at 2850) but the SD was within just a couple fps. Can't recommend these and the 130s enough. They're so good.

Agreed mate, all those dials, buttons etc do nothing for me also. I have 3 sako VLSs all with laminate stocks and I couldn't be happier...those Bunnies that are splatted past 500 cant tell the difference. Keeping it simple is the best way to go...another excellent no Bullshit vid.

I'm amazed that you got some of the TRG ammo, that's like rocking horse poo! I've a UPR in the same spec for production class PRS shooting. One day we might even get out of lockdown and back to shooting matches.

TBH Ozzie, I've had no issues with Burris optics. I have a Full Field IV 2.5-10x42 on my Tikka T3 and I love it. So much better than my Leupold VX Freedom and for about $250 NZ dollar's cheaper than the Freedom with a better reticle and bigger sight picture, it's perfect for a bush rig like mine. Tbh the only other scope brand I'd want over a Burris would be Swavorski.

@@kelly73410 yeah so I don't know what he is complaining about it. For hunting scopes they are mean and don't break the bank like Leupold which for what they are are pretty bare bones for their price tag unless you pay extra which by that point your better off getting a Swavorski.

The tikka UPR and Bergara HMR are very similar rifles. Personally prefer the Bergara but honestly this is a very cool rifle

Winchester never groups in any gun ive used it in or any gun ive seen it used in, I only shoot Hornady ammo cause even the trash cheap stuff shoots great

Except in the Tikka A1 Tac, Winchester shot ridiculously better over other brands but other than that I have rarely had it perform for me

My Lithgow 102 in 6.5 shoots much tighter groups with factory ammo at half the price. Looks nice but can’t see the value.

I have a Lithgow LA102 in 6.5 that came in a Southern Cross Chassis. I still have to play with it to get the best out of it but I was wondering how it would compare. Thanks for answering that and I agree it is great value at half the price.

I found those groups a little disappointing. My T3x Light Stainless Camo 30/06 shoots just like the 243 you tested in the same rifle some time ago. One hole. And it does it with plain jane Federal Power Shok Ammo. Anyway, great videos. Cheers.

You cannot get better accuracy than that firing off your slippery table. You need to be prone on the ground with the legs of the bipod planted and a little shoulder pressure. Well done under the conditions , however.
