The stupidity seems to me to let an organization directed by the Chinese Communist Party spend more time talking to our children than us. We are all stupid. In 2014, ByteDance established an internal Chinese Communist Party (CCP) committee.[51] The company's vice president, Zhang Fuping, serves as the company's CCP Committee Secretary.[52][53] According to a report submitted to the Australian Parliament, Zhang Fuping stated that ByteDance should "transmit the correct political direction, public opinion guidance and value orientation into every business and product line."[54][55] Partnerships ByteDance's China business has a strategic partnership with the Chinese Ministry of Public Security for the ministry's public relations efforts.[56] The partnership also said that ByteDance would work with the Ministry of Public Security in cooperation on unspecified "offline activities."[57][58]

See when a company is starting up initially, they start off in one place. Tiktok started in China, so obviously their entire servers and setup was in China. Now they are making an effort to shift the entire system of US user data to the USA. That needs to be appreciated. Its a big move. As far as the user data collection is concerned. Google, Facebook and many other companies do the same as Tiktok. If you are gonna ban, then ban all of them. Don't just target Chinese companies. That's really biased.
@DaddyFatSzack Жыл бұрын
I get what you are saying, and it’s valid, but understand, just because the country that ByteDance resides, the CCP can decide (for national security measures) to ensure they form over user data. Data that can come from American users. This is really about the CCP. There is no-partisan support of this. Let me tell you something, in America we fight over EVERYTHING, the fact that both sides agree with this??? We never agree on anything. TikTok is in trouble. TikTok WILL GET BANNED. The main issue is that the Chinese gov has demonstrated extreme control over all Chinese companies, private or not, by making their CEOs and shareholders disappear. Sometimes they are imprisoned with an internal gov trial then mysteriously die in prison or they reappear while insisting it was nothing and telling their families not to say anything in fear of being executed. So IF the Chinese gov told ByteDance leaders to gather data for them, then they would be threatened to do so. Congress did not mention anything about this and completely misunderstood the situation and yelled at this man for 5 hours. Our congress is extremely embarrassing.

Almost every question relating to ccp, he did not answer directly. This already support the notion that ccp is very influential to tiktok. Overall, its clear tiktok can be banned based on the way he answered or skipped answering the questions. A layman using the techniques he used can also perform like he did. This is part 3 in an ongoing series on an approach to advancing religious freedom by reducing opportunities for conflict between people of faith and those who feel discriminated against by the actions of people of faith. Part 1 described the sources of law that create the legal climate for religious practice and part 2 described the current legal rules on religious freedom. This article will describe one of the prominent examples of conflict between religious freedom and government policies. Readers of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House on the Prairie books will remember DeSmet, South Dakota, where the Ingalls family settled in the late 1870s. The small town - really a handful of families at the time - is a good setting for a thought experiment about religious freedom conflicts.

I believed that the Congressman is not that dumb when he asked the question whether Tik Tok access the wifi. He is leading the question to the fact that there is a possibility that Tik Tok can access other devices information through the wifi. However, every devices on the internet can theoretically access other devices on the same network unless those devices have had security and privacy protections. If that is a true concern, perhaps US should ban all devices, apps and software that are not developed or manufactured by American companies. Wait a minute, what happened when a foreign entity managed to penetrate, hack, bribe or incentivise US citizens or any personnel working or visiting in US that may theoretically breach these securities as well. Maybe then the only solution is to isolate US from the world? LOL.

Actually, on the contrary, that was a rather good question to be asked, in such a public meeting & setting and also it was an ABSOLUTELY GREAT thing, it generated so much publicity and information, world-wide, becos of this question. It may & should not surprise, many people, in America and the rest-of-the-World, may not really know the answer as well. Further, in additional to the clarification, it enables to highlight, as well as brings out , the dangers of Data Theft from TIK-TOK Users.
