What kind of water do they use? Is it normal water color kids use for painting?

For the painting I think they use acrylics! You can rlly use anything like that as long as you buff it with sandpaper or a nail file! If ur talking about when they occasionally rub liquid on the clay, that’s just normal water to help hydrate the clay so it doesn’t dry, or get to stiff when moulding, etc.! Does anyone know what the gloss they’re using is called bc theres no way the paint tray they made the gloss they used couldn’t have been washed if it was mod podge maybe resin but I’m curious bc alot of my ideas for stuff I want to make include eating off of or washing it 😅

It depends on which clay you're using. There are many modeling clays that are usually meant to be baked in order to harden, even coming in different colors. While the other is mostly referred to as "air dry clay" or "air hardening clay". Which is what most of them are using in this video. So in the case that we're talking about that one, nope! It does not need to be put in a kiln! You just let it air dry for about a day or two. It really depends on the size of your creation, but you'll know when the familiar gray of the clay turns into more of a pale white and is cold to the touch!
