When our daughters were younger and sometimes didn’t do as well in school as they expected …I explained that it was important to grow with both successes and failures. I likened this to a tall building. When we succeed it feels wonderful and we grow in height. When we fail it can be painful but then we have the opportunity to grow in depth. If we only experience success, we keep growing taller and if there is a strong wind which is bound to occur, our very tall, successful building can topple over. But if we fail along the way, our building will have depth and a strong foundation so that when that fierce wind blows as it is bound to occur, our building will remain standing because we have that strong foundation.

Loved this! I also grew up with an Israeli family and didn't celebrate Shabbat growing up but when I had my own family I started Shabbat dinners and now it's our favorite time of the week. My son is in college and now he seeks out Shabbat dinners on his own with the school Chabad. If you teach your kids about Jewish wisdom from a place of love it will touch their souls and they'll take it with them throughout their life

Thank you soo much I have been struggling with anxiety a lot lately, and I have never experienced this, so this helped me. I grew up in a Christian family and never understood it where we have to be perfect Christians and why it’s a very judging religion. I just want to be a child of God or the creator of this whole universe without worrying about messing up. And love everyone no matter who and what they are because that’s what I believe our creator wants.
