I worked at a donut shop in high school that my best friends family owned for 100 years! Their donuts were great, but me and my friend decided to start using leftover cake icing from the back of the shop to decorate the donuts and give them some new life. Our donuts were so popular, that people started requesting specific icing colors and ordering them for kids birthdays, super bowl parties, holidays, etc.! It was by far my favorite job ever, even though I was only 14-16 when I worked there. I’m now an accountant and I don’t even like sweets, but when people ask me what my dream job would be, it would definitely be to own a bakery and decorating them and having regular costumers on the regular, like I did 25 years ago when I worked at the bakery. It was such a fun job and our regulars were absolutely amazing and I loved them all. Dreams are never over, so I hope to own a bakery or work at one once I retire!!!

Don’t wait til you retire! Owning a bakery is a lot of work but can be very satisfying. You can do it now you’ll just need to hire people to help. But it’s best to retire being able to relax, not work more

It is a great idea to use caramel to coat the donut! My mom used to do "porcupine candies" (it is hard to translate the name to English lol) which is made cooking condensed milk with shredded coconut (and a table spoon of butter) to a dough consistency then coating it caramel and rolling it on toasted shredded coconut (not sure if the explanation makes sense tho). Sadly I have coconut intolerance (like some people have milk/dairy intolerance) and I can't eat it, but it used to be a huge success on Year End Holiday parties.

not trying to be mean or anything but, i visited las vegas and saint honore was on my must-visit list, because just like mia, their tiktoks kept popping up on my feed. when i arrived at their flamingo road location, i was quite disappointed because their customer service wasn't so great, they weren't super friendly at all, and seemed a bit annoyed? on top of that, the donuts that i had were very underwhelming. i expected so much more from them, since they claimed to be "couture donuts" making them sound so delicious and high-quality, (i guess their marketing was too good because i got tricked into thinking they would be yummy) but the donuts that i had were so dense. i mean, can't really expect much from vegan donuts, but yeah i thought i should share.
