It had a far superior algorithm than any other platform because a better design and the other platforms refuse to regulate AI/bot content. It makes no sense to switch to an inferior platform that your product will not be supported by. This is not "for the best" its an attack on not just free speech, but free market and our ability to be informed about the world outside the USA. We're learning now through RedNote and other apps that the US government has been entirely dishonest with us much more than we realized.

I never downloaded TikTok, don't care for it at all, but I supported Trump since 2016 & I gotta say, Trump aligning himself with TikTok is probably one of the smartest political decisions ever, it helped him win the election due to young voters & now every US TikTok user will see that message & hold him up as a hero if he can save it with an executive order 😂

I used a Galaxy S9+ that I ordered from the UK, connected it to a vpn in the UK, downloaded TikTok from a 3rd party, created a new tiktok account using email (not any quick sign in options), make sure it works. Then on my American S24 Ultra I toggled off the esim, turned on the uk vpn, installed tiktok from the same 3rd party, signed in to my new account, turned on the esim, switched my vpn to Vancouver, and now tiktok is back on my phone.
