If you guys are having a problem with the background being black like I did I figured out how to fix it. Just select the green screen effect where the person is raising their hand.

How do you create the buttons at the top?

Everything at the top is native to the TikTok app. It will be there whether you use the overlay or not. You can't change them or move them, so depending on where you decide to put your graphic, they can get in the way. 😞

just tried to do this and i followed all the instructions you gave and when i download the image as transparent and i open it on my computer it is. But when i go to try and do it as a background on tiktok its all white with the logo and i cant see my self. Do know by chance how to fix it?

yes this is exactly what happens to me! except my background is black(because i had black as the background of my text box)

it is not working for me and I do not know why.... PNG format with transparent BG and still not working...

I just tested the process out to make sure it all still works and it is working for me, except, instead of having the video in the full background, you just get a rectangle that you can resize to fit with the graphic. So the background is black, but you should be able to see yourself on video and you can resize that before you start the live (by pinching with your fingers) and cover most of the black background. Not as perfect as it used to be but it should get the job done. I don't see another green screen option that's better than this one for this use either.

that has happened to me before, too! When you upload it to TikTok, there might be a "remove background" button. Try that!

It's almost as if Tik tok is adding the background back or something. There isn't a remove background button on tik tok
