You may be surprised at how many people will think an older person and a younger person are dating instead of being related, and I know that from experience. I (f18) was at a small concert with my dad (m45) and were having a good time like we always do when attending concerts together (that's our thing). During an intermission a lady asked us if we were dating out of the blue and it surprised us. When I responded saying "No, that's my dad" her only response was to say sorry and then proceeded to look at my dad and told him "Well that's a compliment for you." I had no idea what she meant by that besides that he would've been lucky to date a girl as young and as pretty as me and I found that extremely disgusting. It thankfully didn't ruin our daddy daughter date but did sour it a little bit. My dad told me later he figured some people might've thought we were dating since an older man is taking a younger girl to a concert but nobody ever vocalized it before then. I know want to get us matching shirts that say something like "With my favorite older daughter" and "With my favorite dad" so something like this doesn't happen again because it was disgusting. Edit: Because I've had a couple people comment that "oh, he must look young" or something like that.Sadly, he looks like how a 45 yr old would look. He's got a beer belly and a beard that makes him look like an average 45 yr old man (and I naturally look pretty young, I've had people say I look 15-16ish so that made it weirder).
