I bet the person who was a witness was scared they ID'ed every car in the parking lot and would find the driver so they called in realizing what they saw turned out to be a murder. I strongly think the person was with him and the fact they could know where he lived and who he is that fast im thinking that person was a female. When I seen the movie 8 mile in the theaters while the credits were rolling and everyone was walking down the stairs. Some kid swiped a hat off another kid bout 17-18 years old that was below him and said that's my hat. The victim was kinda nerdy and just said softy give me my hat back.
