In my high school years almost all of the young educators were more bubbly and respectful than the older teachers, but were stern and "mean" as soon as a student crossed boundaries as a result of thinking they could be friends with them. They knew and taught us the importance of acknowledging and respecting them first and foremost as teachers and authority figures over young persons such as ourselves. I pray other young teachers tighten up after this event and promote themselves as the authorities they should be in the classroom rather than friends.

@alliedavis5144Ай бұрын
Is it just me or is the way this lady is talking? She’s almost trying to lessen the actions by this teacher for mental health. I am mentally unstable and a lot of ways but I would never harm a child or anyone that I have authority over. That is absolutely disgusting.

In my country most teachers are old. And it takes year to become one. I never understood how is it possible that you have people teaching in high-schools only after 4 years of college. Honestly, it's not enough. Most of them are not mature or prepared for that role.

This is so sad and sickening! This has been going on for years, when I was in school the teachers and staff were sleeping with the students, literally having whole relationships with us. What even crazier we didn’t know it wasn’t normal 🤦🏽♀️

I think the kids are aware now that it is not normal. I’ve seen a few cases where other students will inform other school professionals or adults

It really is wild the complete difference in the way these conversations are had when it's a woman versus a male teacher. So much compassion and empathy being spoken about mental health and you never hear that when it's a man.
