The hard part about being indian american is the fact that your supposed to switch accents at home and at school
@pbhardwaj042 жыл бұрын
Ouf, that's hard. Where i live, i'm indian canadian. Here, it doesn't matter if you have a different accent when another language like french. At school, they can understand that you can pronounce the same thing as a normal canadian. My mom for example, she can speak french but she has an accent while speaking.

11:30 nobody eats leftovers, Indian housewives in particular loves to feed the members and then eat but not mandatory, unless we are dealing with abusive families. You are not the first Indian who bashed our culture abroad and definitely not the last one. The desperation to "mingle" with the whites is real. I have relatives settled in UK for about 50 years now and this is something I observed. Matter of fact I have seen in one of the comment section once where a Punjabi guy was calling Churchill a hero. Anyways you can have a different accent different motherland but that Indian tag will last forever. So represent well, you never one of them.

11:30 While this is a great point, the actuality of the situation is that most women eat last out of their own volition. They want to serve their family, and they don't view the food they eat as they leftovers. They like cooking for their family, they like serving their family first. Our culture is the most inclusive and supportive culture, highly advanced for their times. Having labelled everything we do as superstition or the practices being forced on people is such a HUGE misunderstanding by both outsiders and our people too.
