Because some people think they can treat service workers any kind of way because they think service workers have to do whatever they want no matter what. I was actually on Karen's side at first because she could have been disabled or had muscle soreness or some kind of injury and walking may have been difficult for her (not everyone who is disabled *looks* disabled and not everyone who struggles to walk is incapable of walking all the time) but then she continued to be rude to him. Like I have plantar fascitis and so sometimes walking is extremely painful for me, and in that case I would have wanted a Lyft to get me at the door, and while I don't think I should have to disclose my medical status to everyone it would have been really easy to clarify why she wanted to be picked up at the door in a nice way instead of being snide about it.

@@chubbrock659 all I said is what it seems like to me, and from the context we are given that’s all I’m going off of and regardless it didn’t seem like they gave her any real reason why she wasn’t allowed to board her flight and any issues with her luggage would have previously been handled at security. And we live in a nasty world where people do treat others horribly by race, so you can’t deny that might have been a factor in this either. This girl didn’t handle herself poorly, she had every right to be upset and angry especially missing something as important as a funeral. I have no idea how you could be playing this hard for the devil’s advocate when this girl was answering their questions, her bag fit, and they didn’t provide her with real reasons she couldn’t board her flight but go off I guess??? Empathy seems to evade you

I need advice on how to deal with potential Karen neighbors. Well, they’re not mine, but my brother’s. See, last week, my brother’s sweet GS had to be euthanized because the neighbors claimed the dog ran through the invisible fence and was “very aggressive” towards them. This dog is timid, but has never shown any signs of growling, charging - nothing. Just drive-by kisses and cuddles! Because my niece’s safety was at risk, my brother decided his dog had to cross the rainbow bridge. No second chances. It infuriates me that cruel people exist in this world. I thought the situation sounded sketchy, but without context, we don’t know what may have triggered the dog to act out in that way to begin with. The dog had an abusive home life before they were adopted by my brother, and they seemed to have recovered for the most part. Were these neighbors just wanting this dog to be gone? Were they scared? Intimidated? I’m willing to march over there and give the neighbors the Spanish Inquisition!

Did the dog show aggression towards your brother and his family? I mean no disrespect but I wouldn't give a sh*t what the neighbor said, I would never put my animals down unless their health and their quality of life diminished. If the dog did show signs of aggression to the family, I would have looked to rehome the dog into a less stressful environment. German Shepherds are very protective of their people. I would wonder what kind of aggression the dog exhibited that the neighbors felt your brother should kill his own dog. I would've been more inclined to put the neighbor down over my dog. If my dog did not physical hurt anyone, than the neighbors could kiss my a**. Sorry, but that's just how I feel. Again though, no disrespect to your brother because I don't know you all and the whole situation. But yeah, I'd read them the riot act because if they were that evil to cause someone to kill their own pet for nothing, I'd want to know because that a neighbor to keep an eye on.

But if a tree crew has signed off orders, it's because someone higher up took the job based on proof that it was legal to do so. Trees don't just get removed for fun, it's a whole process of approval. it isn't the employee's responsibility to deal with the neighbor's dispute over the tree, their job isn't to make legal calls. That's the responsibility of the neighbors to communicate and ensure that they are within their property line
