This wasn't horrible! He just went too fast.

"Let love die" yes!!! But truly, this was some great singing. This is a hard song to sing!! I'd love to see him to Jekyll and Hyde!!

I saw David Campbell in his 20s in a small concert venue - a very good performer. Despite all the negative comments - he hits all the notes in this song and even gives an emotional performance. When he veers flat he recovers. I could do without the last dramatic grunt ending but otherwise a fine performance. He's doing it in a large concert venue for the back seats. Ramin Karimloo is my favorite performer of this song.

I'm sorry, very wrong song choice. There is no core support in the voice and it goes off key. I can hear the struggle and the technique completely falls apart at the end. It goes from singing to yelling (the vibrato completely disappeared). I'm really sorry- please don't attempt songs with operatic styling again. It's not right.

This song is written for a big booming classical voice. It's too low for him, and he belts out his nose like a typical pop singer. It lacks depth and it's not even in the right key for him. Music shouldn't be pronounced mewsic. It lacks technique.

not bad, but has a very distinctive "pop" sound as opposed to the theatrical sound in which it was created for. But not bad, I just don't think anyone can really match the energy and power brough to this song and the character as Ramin or Ben.

Don't a lot of people do that because it makes it easier to get the sound out? Doesn't it also help you keep from going flat or sharp there? I could be wrong I suppose. My choir days were a few years ago. :)

I have to admit not the best version of this song but then again i like a lot of power like Ben Lewis. however this is a hard song and he did very well with it it just doesn't fit his voice quite right

@MasterAnemos John Owen-Jones does have a good voice, and I did liek him in Phantom, but have you heard him in Les Mis? That's where his strength lies

@jonnysepra Look up "JOJ_LND" and discover how awesome John Owen-Jones is. He beats both of them, hands down. =P

What a strong, lovely performance. The only one that approaches Ramin's fervor and energy.

Good attempt, but he does veer off key at times. Maybe a bit too much of a challenge...

I think Campbell should stay away from Theatre and stick to Jazz and Contemporary!

certainly the last note was result of running low on breath
