Hi just on your channel i am roofer from Scotland. I was on holiday in can cun recently and seen the roof clay tiles had been installed with wire looks so much work so more time involved than nailing roof tiles like here in Scotland you ve done a good job buddy.

That roof will last 50 years. Smart to make pre-formed concrete bird-stop on the ground. I'm doing double layer 30# under flat concrete tile. It looks like you and Mr. C use way less plastic cap roofing nails than others to hold the 30# to the deck. What is your advice on the nailing pattern for 30#?? Thx and keep the vids coming.

Aquí se hace diferente en California, para hacer exacto en San Diego , aquí se les mete clavo a las tapas al que va abajo nomas la primera línea ., y el valley va arriba de la teja para que no se vaya el agua debajo de la teja ya que el agua pudre papel y todo lo que agarre ahí.. ah y el bird stop lo hago cuando voy poniendo la teja .. pero se ve buen trabajo saludos

My tools? Like what kind of tools? Shingles . torch. Single ply. Wood work. Concrete decks. Roof restorations.roof removal? Etc I got so many tools that is hard for me to think of a specific tool.

Anytime theres nails In,On& Around metal flashing you've broken all rules WATERPROOFING !!!. if ya have to float it !!??? Looking to buy the wire that are anchoring the tiles, do you have a name and manufacturer. I went to my local roofing supplier. They where trying to sell me A box of wires special order. The sales person clearly did not know what I was asking for.

What do you change on your nailing to keep from breaking the shingles

Just adjust the pressure, start with low and increase till u get the right penetration and keep that settingfor the rest of the roof.

I don't understand this: for people who have shingles and want to upgrade to clay tile, doesn't the roof requires reinforcement? Otherwise, can the roof handle the weight

It DOES, but old houses were built with strong, thick rafters.
