Thank you for sharing, Eric! I've been working here for 6 months, and I haven't watched a tile roof installation yet, we don't get many of those here in my area, so I took to KZbin to find out how they're done, since they look complicated! Thanks for the video! The roof looks awesome! - Angel, DLV Roofing, Office Support Specialist

It's light weight concrete tile, Eaglelite Capistrano blend ( San Juan Blend) ,88 pieces per 100 square feet, installed at 3' inch head lap, Tiles weights less than 600 lbs per 100 square feet , so i can replace your shingles easy, I was going to upload a long video , but I think the viewers get bored of watching a long video about tile, so I decided to upload short videos about the in progress installation. Chapin is from Guatemala , Suchitepeque... since he weights less than 150 lbs. he walks perfectly over light weight tile ...I brake too many ..Lol . thank you for watching guys. Eric.

Eric tengo una pregunta para ponerle tiles a un porche que esta casi plano tengo que ponerle la madera chiquita que lleva abajo del tile?
@Garciasroofing5 жыл бұрын
Suerte Eric Garcia

Eric I’m seeing roofers do batten, is that ideal or not. Batten (that wood on run on the roof that the tile is nail on the wood.. Please thanks 🙏
@Garciasroofing3 жыл бұрын
Battens are a requirement when the roof is steeper than 6/12 pitch, not on roof under that pitch. But some roofers don’t know the building codes and use them on lower pitches

You’re the first roofer that I see that cuts the tiles in half it’s way faster just breaking them in half with the hammer.. obviously they all win with a gun just like if someone had a nail gun and u guys were using the hammer to nail they would be faster obviously

Eric cuantas escuadras se pone chapin en 8 horas? en un techo sin mucho detalle.solo sin tener a un labor que le tienda la teja?se mira muy rapido.
@Garciasroofing8 жыл бұрын
Eric.

Good vidieo my only problem is... why aren't your valleys tied in...?? Felt under the valley cause the water to flow under.. least resistance. .. what we do in chi. Is strip in valleys.. Valley underlayment of ice n water. 2 belly laps of felt. Rosin paper. Valley metal. Then the felt gets stripped in over the top...

Currently installing eagle S tile,, this order of tile has the nail holes filled ,, when the guys nail with gun to get through concreted nail hole it breaks tile,, when they back the pressure out the nail bounces back & messes up the row of nails in the gun,, Any suggestions other than drilling out all nail holes,, Seams on this one we may just have to hand bang it as the drilling of the nail holes will eat at the time that would've saved using the framing nailers,, Thank you for your videos!

Great video!👍 got a few questions though!why don’t u install 1x2s or 1x4s to hook tiles on before you nail them to roof!?i do this for a living and I install them 1xs all the time!and that underlayment is felt your using?tiles looks straight and nice job!and that lip your hammering to catch water on valley metal is not tall enough!we leave 1/2”-3/4!just wondering if codes different where your at!im in rockport and just went through hurricane Harvey and tile roofs messed up more of the neighbors house than there own because not done right!we have to use clips on first 3 rows
@Garciasroofing6 жыл бұрын
Lee Izaak ...you answered your own question !! We don't have hurricanes here, no snow, probably high winds but not strong enough to blow off the tiles.
