As it is wax, one would assume that the cap is waterproof, is it not?

I guess I'll find out! I think it is, feels pretty robust, like it would resist scratches from a hedge or whatever.

It looks very modern! I have Tilly wide rim mesh style that was purchased an extremely long time ago from the Tilly store in Don Mills Ontario Canada. I've been unable to find any pet elephants locally, so unfortunately, I've zero "true" stories to share! It's made in Canada, and I proudly wear it! I tip my hat to you, sir!
