Synopsis:
After three years of mini adventures on the rails, The Railways of Crotoonia are going from short series to full series! Starring in their first half-hour mini-movie special, it's "Tillie to the Rescue"!
Join Tillie the Little Engine, a young steamer who dreams of doing more than shunting, as she helps save the day when runaway trains and an overheated feud threaten both the cozy yards she calls home and one of the most important express trains on the line. With the help of her friends, Thomas, Ariel, Calley and Ivor, she'll build up the steam of courage to save the day with her famous "I think I can" attitude!
It's one grand adventure that proves that Little Engines Can Be BIG Heroes!
Tillie to the Rescue has been funded in part by Super Bowl Lanes.

DIRECTOR'S NOTES:
Wow. Three whole years, and it's finally done.
After tons of advertising, delays, and a spectacular success of a stream, Crotoonia's first full-length episode/special is finally out! It's been a wild and fantastic ride, and its hard to think so many years have gone by already since the script for this was finished...in three days time, the first "completed" version of the script will be three years old!
What started out as a simple double-length pilot episode soon became a 25-minute tentpole feature with races, chases, runaways, crashes, smashes, bashes, and more! A simple high schooler looking to start his own series ended up with an exciting feature special featuring one wallop of a guest star and cast! It really shows that you can truly achieve anything with hard work, dedication, and perseverance.
I'd like to thank everybody, from the cast and crew and family and friends, who have stuck with me for this crazy fun ride of a special. To Michelle, Blake, Caitlin, Matt, Lachie, Chris, Kristian, Leo, Dean, Phillippa, Colson, Carsen, Cinnamon, Joel, Alice, Luca, Swindon, Retro, Stephanie, Isaiah, Cory, Mike, RG, Anna, Ian, Caitlin, Katrina, Babylonia, and the rest of my friends, I thank you all for sticking around to see this crazy idea come to fruition. :)

This was an enjoyable video to watch, in a way it was Nostalgic for me as I used to love watching 'The Little Engine That Could' starring Tillie, Kath Soucie does a tremendous job for a half hour feature. The story also reflects what I would watch when Thomas & Friends was on T.V. during it's early seasons and even some characters, like Casey from 'Dumbo', had memorable moments. I may not know most of the other characters but this was still enjoyable to watch. I hope there is plenty more to come and whatever comes will be as entertaining as this one. Break a leg.

I noticed how Tillie sounds older in The Railways Of Crootonia than she did in the 1991 animated "The Little Engine That Could" film that she first appeared in, and I actually kinda like that little detail, whether intentional or not! In that 1991 animated film, Tillie sounded like an older pre-teen (10-12 years old), whereas here she sounds like a younger/middle teen (13-16 years old). Must have been at least a few years since she pulled that birthday train over that mountain in the area that she came from! By the way, I love this little animated series that you're starting. I've seen the first three episodes, and I'm looking forward to the next! At first, I wasn't sure whether I would like this series because of the animation style (I haven't seen MMD animation in a video in a very long time), but after seeing these three episodes (and also the "meet the Crootonians" videos), I have to say, this is really well animated (though there are a few errors and the backgrounds could use a little more detail). Overall, I personally could give this fledgling series a 9.5/10. So far, it seriously feels like I could have grown up with this series if I had seen it since I was a little kid, and if something like that is something I feel about a FAN-SERIES, then that just says about how well-done and well-imagined this series is so far!

In my honest opinion, I felt that Casey should’ve double head with Tillie, seeing how he also got teased as well in the beginning. And, while they both go up the hill with the passenger train, Casey could’ve silently go “I think we can”, having Tillie overhear and say it too till both say “we think we can” over and over til the get to the top, then as they glide downward the could’ve chanted “we thought we could! Wha-hoo!” Over all this was really good! Keep up the great work!

This was one of the most surprising Specials I have ever seen. It really told a great story and Tillie really got to shine. I loved #BorisFanGirl as the voice of Tillie. The bickering between Gordon and Farnsworth was like the same sort of thing between Gordon and Spencer. The crash was so epic and I wasn't expecting Ariel to be Salty's driver. Well done to the whole voice cast in the story :D .

Giant man absolutely loves this special… I have been waiting for this for quite a long time and this did not disappoint although I do have one complaint… The strange inclusion of the Welsh engine Ivor... don't get me wrong I love this special and Ivor as well as Tilly are some of my favourite cartoon engines but… His role in the story did seem a bit forced and unnecessary… As well The role of Jones the steam when he doesn't actually have a player model in MMD... but besides that it was an amazing special (#CharlieThePurpleEngineHavingABadDay)

Well realistically Tillie would need a back engine with the length of the train so Ivor's role is not completely unnecessary and Tillie being a 4-2-2 engine would have difficulties pulling a train of steel carriages of that length with no back engine
