Tilly is home

Sweet Tilly girl is home!! We have missed her so much and it looks like she missed us all too. She was so happy to see Luke and come home. She looks and feels amazing. It’s just so wonderful. A couple of weeks rest and she’ll be back out amongst it all. What a tough little girl. Forever grateful to have Tilly back home with us. It was not her time just yet.
Thank you again everyone for making this happen. Tilly can sure feel the love that surrounds her, here on the farm and from afar.
Also, a very big thank you to the Sash team who have cared for Tilly so well, and of course Tilly’s surgeon. This is not the first time he has worked a miracle on one of our pack members. He was the one that removed Rover’s enormous uterus that was also life threatening because everything was leaking and not connected properly. Thank you 🙏

Best. Video. Ever!!! I am not a crier, but THAT made water pop out of my eyes! First, in the car, that huge double-dimple smile of Luke’s said it all! And the sniffs from all the pack was adorable. They know how to welcome their Queen home! But the initial apprehension, then gentle hugs and smiles from Elle put me over the top! Ok, so I’m crying with relief. Tilly looks very contented and happy seeing you Luke. So I cried some more. We didn’t get to see but I’m sure Tilly kissed you hello Sam. The dogs welcome even made me feel overwhelmed. It’s the first time I haven’t see Joey telling a dog to go away when being kissed. The love beamed out of Joeys eyes as Tilly kissed her melted my heart. I know Elle is feeling much better after seeing Tilly and I’m so glad Elle got to have a cuddle of Tilly by herself. ❤ sweet Til-Til is so happy to come home! Good to see her determination kick into gear when she spotted Luke , took a moment for a proper greeting and snuggle, and was ready to make her way to the car and head home! Wonderful welcome from the pack, checking to make sure she was okay. 2 favorite moments: 1) Elle sneaking in to the room and whispering Tillie’s name as she snuck around the door and made her way to pet her. 2) Tillie meeting Joey under the table to check in. And is it just me or does her fancy blue collar cause her to resemble one of those spitting dinosaurs when it flips back onto her shoulders? Thank you for sharing these wonderful moments. May Tillie continue in her recovery and may all of you be well and safe. You mentioned the development of this family group that has developed around your extended pack and the Farm. A great lesson in all of this is to trust your instincts. Sam and Luke knew something needed more immediate attention than waiting the 4 hours for the regular vet appointment (which sounds like that vet facility did a great job squeezing Tilly in and should be commended) because it was an emergency and the right surgeon was on hand to take care of her and those 4 hours could have saved her life, especially since once the regular vet office saw how serious it was they would have recommended Sash anyway. It's such a tough call since our pets can't 'talk' to us, but all we can do is the best we can do at the moment and not second guess. TillTill looks so happy and on her way to a wonderful recovery. This Farm community is amazing.

YAY! I'm so happy. What made me donate was not because Till is one of my favourites but my elderly greyhound (11) was very ill this year. I had to give him a chance, I wanted that for Till too. So I'd really donated on my dog's behalf. I found an oral tumour 29June. V aggressive fast growing. I had a choice of euthanasia or chemo which takes months and lots of side effects or a brutal op shorter recovery and cancer free. I chose the op. The guilt before (and after) lost me months of sleep. He had most of his lower jaw removed. He's very drooly, but is doing amazing!! He's healed, has his pre cancer weight back on, and v happy. (I sleep better now). It wasn't his time and it wasn't Tilly's. Look at her! She's formidable! Dogs are so resilient and inspirational. Love you Till ❤

I know your heart broke having to leave Tilly there. But she is now ready to go home, heal with all her family members.
