For anyone wondering: The radio vocals are from the french poetic-realist film 'Orphée' (Orpheus) from 1949. A film historical masterpiece in itself!

Quite correct, except all the vocals were re-recorded. Thanks for your input :) As we posted at the top. Anyone interested can watch the original Jean Cocteau film with English subtitles here :) kzbin.info/www/bejne/i16og5aqZd2Mi7c

@ErwinSchrodinger6414 жыл бұрын
This was released after Tilt's Invisible E.P., progressive trance masterpiece. Obviously, it was a complete change for Tilt. It was the first release on Hooj Choons that was dark, sinister, and down right incredible. Tilt was one of the first to pioneer the dark progressive house that was to come in 2000 and onward. As usual, they were ahead of their time. Great post.

Tune and a half. Isn't this at the beginning of Lord Tenaglia's outing on Global Underground? As said before, Tilt, Quivver, Tarantella and BT all ahead of their time. Fond memories.

Not many people know that Monsieur Graham made some of the most devastatingly good hardcore breaks/proto jungle of its time under the monika 'Skanna'. He's a bloody walking talking genius in my opinion, seems to be amongst the best at every sound he turns his hand to.

@alderaanic Oh yeah. Layered is what you get with John Graham. His stuff as Quivver was way ahead of it's time. 1994 and he's producing 'Twist and Shout' and 'Believe in me' for a start. There several different genres in this tune. Bit of tribal, progressive, a slight bit of hip hop at just under 5 mins to slow things down. It's a kind of hip hop beat to me anyway :-) and BANG!!!! Epic delivery from TILT. Parks and Wilson are cool dj's as well.

@1czelaya Couldn't agree more mate,this is the type of sound that defines my taste as a DJ & collector.Like you say this was way ahead of its time,Tilt like many of the best electyronic producers set trends and pushed the boundries of new music. Tilt along with Quivver,Evolution,Way Out West,Breeder,Tarrentella & Redanka,BT,Laurent Veronezz,Starecase,Kasey Taylor were all making outstanding productions and remixes around this era..all making massive contribution to the Progressive scene

Progressive house should make a full circle like techno did in the last 2 years. It's time to acknowledge that minimal and micro house etc were simply boring and a step in the wrong direction.
