The company I work for has one of these on a drott, and damn it that ever a productive piece of equipment. Concrete joints can be done from 1 side and nearly perfectly cleaned out with minimal delays. It's a great piece of equipment to work with. All of our excavators have a wrist too which is nice.

I put 1 on a 6 t Takeuchi last month. I’m based in ireland and these things ain’t that plentiful. It cost €15k with full set of buckets gripper and grading beam. I own 6 excavators and let me tell u this was the best investment I’ve made. Unreal what can be achieved. A good driver and u can do away with the shovels. My 1 is a Rototilt. Proven and around years

I tell you what if you actually wanna see what a tiltrotor can actually really do then check out Duckgirl, OMFG that chic is a straight up monster with the Volvo and a tiltrotor, she switches thru 5 or 6 attachments plus uses the grapple, its truly amazing to watch.
@andyv39655 жыл бұрын
You should pop up to Canada and visit Rototilt when their R9 tiltrotator makes it to North America. That thing is insane, think it's suited for excavators up to 40 ton.

So when are you getting one Stan??
@mikesbobcatservicesllc-mic69275 жыл бұрын
You can get a Hydra tilt from Bobcat for about $2300. If you have a thumb You use those lines. It tilts 30゚ left and right Which is 90% of the problem when your machine is off center. Normally when you do a job you grub out 1st Using your thumb in 2' bucket. Then when you need to Level out You can put the Hydra tilt on and do your job.

The latest news now is, i think it was leica, coming out with a auto grade/angle system, so you can level banks etc according to the 3d drawings made to the gps unit.. So its not just hight and placement in the grid system, its angle to, makes it possible to move the bucket in a plane around the ex, spreading gravel for a concrete floor, pretty accurate. And the guys on the ground with the level stick and rake isent on the site anymore..

I heard the same thing. We are looking at GPS systems and mentioned wanting to get a tiltrotor for our next excavator to the Leica rep.

I am curious about lifting/rotating weight limitations? How much weight can it handle? Can the forks pick up and rotate 4000 lbs or more? Can the grapple pick up and rotate 4000 lbs or more?
@forestlawrencegrading91546 жыл бұрын
Looks like a very nice attachment for shaping and Grading moving pallets Etc placing stones but I'm wondering if it is actually sturdy enough say you had to dig out a big stump or remove some type of concrete foundation are you going to have to drop that attachment and put a regular bucket on

Hey Stan just wanted to ask you what you thought about Craftsmen power tools
@xenonram6 жыл бұрын
It's hard to say. Stanley/B&D bought them a year or two ago, and BOTH Stanley AND Sears can/are producing tools with the craftsman name. Craftsman hand tools have always been top notch, until they started making them offshore, and before the buy out. As far as their power tools go, they never were the best. They are great for the DIY'er/homeowner, who will use a power tool 1-2x a month, but anything more than that, they're not the best. I got an cordless Craftsman drill for my 13th birthday, 20 years ago, and even then it wasn't great. Granted my needs for the drill were borderline commercial because I was working for my dad's construction company every free minute I had, to save up for a truck when I turned 16. Still, unless you're going to be using it lightly, I'd say to wait for a Bosch/Makita/Milwaukee/DeWalt to go on sale around the holidays and pick it up. Make sure it's Li-ion.

@@xenonram ok yeah I knew there hand tools are great I just haven't ever had a power tool by then so I wanted to ask someone I knew would give me a good honest answer I've been looking into Milwaukee. But I was just wondering about Craftsmen so thank you for your help.
@pags5zonda6236 жыл бұрын
@@scottforgues8711 Milwaukee used to be not great, but the m18 is beyond comparison to any other power tools. I've been hilti forever, got the m18 torque impacter, 700ft-lbs.. Now all my tools are m18 and I have no complaints. Craftsmen power tools are not meant for outside homeowner use. One of the softscape guys I work with has craftsman and his impacter doesn't work with concrete anchors.

They only lose around half the value after many years of use, so you will only need to make half that to break even.. And that's done in no time unless you already use the machine 100% of the time and get paid by the hour.
