I'm gonna hold on to you as long as I can. I'm gonna hold on to you as long as I can. And if you choose to leave me, girl, I'll understand I'm gonna hold on to you as long as I can. Just like the Mississippi Our journey starts in Minnesota Take I-35 to 90 Sioux Falls, South Dakota Big hearted country girl Hope you're gonna make it on down She said, 'Yeah, Tim, Aw, good to see ya man. Hope ya'll stay around' The future's not the hardest to see. Do what you do girl, But please don't leave. I'm gonna hold on to you as long as I can. I'm gonna hold on to you as long as I can. And if you choose to leave me, girl, I'll understand I'm gonna hold on to you as long as I can. Get down when I wanna, man. Get through the darkest night. We were born to ride, now baby, Ride until the morning light Took a trip down to Kansas, Missouri, then Arkansas. Stayed with her sister, That girl's above the law. The future's not the hardest to see. Do what you do girl, But please don't leave. I'm gonna hold on to you as long as I can. I'm gonna hold on to you as long as I can. And if you choose to leave me, girl, I'll understand I'm gonna hold on to you as long as I can. It's a mad house, baby. Fast women, cocaine, and booze. Toughest of the roughest, (right) I got nothing to loose. Before I met ya, Everything was going wrong. It's been a long journey, now Girl I wanna take you home. The future's not the hardest to see. Do what you do girl, But please don't leave. I'm gonna hold on to you as long as I can. I'm gonna hold on to you as long as I can. And if you choose to leave me, girl, I'll understand I'm gonna hold on to you as long as I can.

for the rest of my life, this song will remind me of muffins. i was listening to it, and sorta dancing around and stuff and i had the mixing bowl in my hands and i was like spinning around (yep i have too much energy and time on my hands) and then i sorta lost control and got the whole thing over myself. it was actually really funny. and then my parents came in and started laughing at me, and they heard this song, and they really liked it and we listened to tim the rest of the night.

@MountainGuerrilla Tim is a pimp. His music is amazing. If I had his money I would roll like him any day. people try too hard to label music these days. They see Tim and think of punk rock and discredit the talent of this song. The key is too not label music and just listen to it for what it is. This is a great song

Almost all of the stuff I'm referring to is stuff done in post-production. And according to info on Epitaph's site directly from Tim himself, it was "filmed in one night with some friends". Great, Tim wasn't holding the camera, that means nothing. He was listed as the VIDEO DIRECTOR AND EDITOR. Alfred Hitchcock also appeared in movies he directed. Point being, Tim was the man with the creative control. And I specifically mentioned his solo work because his vids with Rancid were actually okay.

Hey Tim, Photon productions can make these backing tracks isolated for you if you ever want to tour this again without grabbing the Aggros to play it. Maybe a little solo tour? Grab Mr. Brett if interested. We can make it happen!
@ZombieBoyGrubbs12 жыл бұрын
Just incase you guys are wondering the director just makes sure everything goes smoothly, the cinematographer is the guy who is actually behind the camera making the nice shots and the producer is the one who has full control over everything.

You don't know much either... the original ska movement started in jamaica in the 50's. In the 60's it bacame the music of "rude boys" of those times, eventhough many artists didn't agree with the violent lifestyle of "rude boys". The 2-tone was the first ska revival and it originated in UK in the 70's. It was popular with mods and kinheads, so a lot of artists like Desmond Dekker or Laurel Aitken aimed songs at those audiences
