I was born in 1956 and grew up hearing this 1958 #5 hit by the Del Vikings all the time I was growing up! There's a cool sax solo in the middle that Tim had to dance around a bit, but I love his cover of this song! I think he's one of the few who could do it justice. I love the fact that he's singing 3 part harmony with himself! Gotta love technology!

I love Tim's new album so much! He truly is to me the most talented man I've ever heard! You know how in high school for the yearbook certain students are named the superlatives right? Tim should be named BEST ALL AROUND!

I'm ordering the whole album. ThatSingerReactions spotlighted all the songs. Tim's range was amazing. I went and listened to the original by The Dell Vickings and he really did justice this this.

Without wanting to belittle the many other great singers - Tim is in my eyes the best singer there is at the moment. His vocal range is phenomenal. Tim would have been a terrible waste as a math teacher or dentist. I love all the Tim's 😅 Great reaction Chris!

Nice reaction - hoping Tim will release a video of "Duke Of Earl". Excuse me if I have asked this before. Have you recorded Tim, and Chris Rupp doing their rendition of "The Long Black Train"? Think you might enjoy it. Don't forget to listen to Home Free's rendition of "Auld Lang Syne" on New Year's Eve. Wishing you a great 2022 and beyond.

That first darling is one of my favourite parts of the song the way he sings it. To me it makes it personal, as if it's "directed to me" rather then out into the ether. Loved the reaction! Love this whole album. 🥰🙏

All Tim, all the time. The man's range is exceptional. My parents (89 & 91) LOVED watching this video and watched it a bunch of times - neither could stop smiling. :D And my mom even admitted she now understands why I rave about Tim as much as I do. :D

I really like Tim's voice and this cover of the Del-Viking's Come Go With Me is spot on. He stayed very true to the original Doo Wop song, including the harmony parts. He is an outstanding artist and I have a severe case of Tim Foust Envy.

SO GOOD! Love that Tim's bringing back doo-wop 🥰 (Now we know what a 5-octave range really sounds like❣️) And to think he might have gone into dentistry or teaching and we would've missed out on his musical genius 🤯

I am looking forward to the whole album as I love this classic doo-wop music from the 50's-60's. I know all the songs on the new cd & plan to order it. This song "Come Go With Me" is by The Dell-Vikings from 1957. Tim's voice is perfect for this style of music as he can sing in all the different ranges.

DooWop has a way of being fun anyway. But throw Tim in doing harmonies with himself just sweetens the pot. Especially with his little comedic additions of the screaming girls, he just cracks me up! I'd love to see you react to Helplessly Hoping covered by Home Free. It's absolutely haunting in its beauty! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!

Great reaction! Tim Foust is so talented! Pure perfection! Not his first solo release though. You should check out his cover of Can't help falling in love.(only has a audio version on youtube on his channel) He also is playing piano on it. It is the only other version of that song other than Elvis that I have on my playlist. Beautiful! He has other solo songs off of an earlier album. This latest is is first solo acapella album. It is not Tim’s first solo release, although it may be the first in several years. He had a solo album out when he joined Home Free, I think (correct me if I’m wrong, Home Fries!)
@sallymaria2 жыл бұрын
Yes, he had a solo country album, with a number of songs which were later covered by Home Free, including Champagne Taste. This is his first solo acapella release - and it is all him, rather than with backing musicians.

@@creativecrewfam YES SIR !!! I appreciate all the analysis you do like that...it adds to my poor knowledge of music

If you watch interviews with Tim he has a personal quirk where he turns up one side of his mouth when speaking so it probably extends into his singing too.
@creativecrewfam2 жыл бұрын
@Kevin Clements Not sure too be honest. It could be a stylistic choice, or as people have commented…his own dialect, but I personally believe it can also be “creature of habit”. I’m guilty too! It could be a combination of many things :)

If you think this was good, you need to get the cd. The song I like to most is "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". Think about it. When the group the Tokens did it and the sounds of the song, even then. Here's one person doing this song by himself. Check it out. All the song on the cd are great. 10 of 10 in my book.

I think that the trouble you were having with his mouth shape is due to his coming from southeast Texas. You can take the boy out of the South, but you can't take the South out of the boy...

I love Tim! And he is an amazing vocalist. But there is something about the mixing on this recording I don't like. The levels are too perfect. With different people singing, you would hear more of the parts jump out in places. This just seems sort of one dimensional. Each part sounds wonderful, and is very well done. And again, Tim is an amazing singer and I love his voice. I'm just not crazy about this. It hasn't made me want to go listen to any more of the album. Which is really strange for me. It's just too perfect.

Texan or Georgian, my point was that you can still open your mouth, that was my preference. A lot of times singers go straight to the “r” instead of staying on the vowel.

@@creativecrewfam Tim stylistically does the song but does it in his natural voice. It is a distinction without a difference. You are correct but I am pointing out that Tim's fans and most people are unaware of your perspective.
