I think it's cause he doesn't seem to tour in the States. I know a few canadian bands got big in the States after they started performing here. Could also be the label he's on doesn't have a contract with the radio stations in the States. But yea if he could get some air time this guy would take off, assuming his other stuff is this good.

I agree with Daps on this. I'm from the Prairies of Canada, live in Calgary now. We don't sound very southern, but there are a lot of Texans here. This accent is put on to appeal to the masses, and more over America. Much like how some British bands sound very western (american). The one thing I do not like about Country music is that accent, otherwise this song has a sick riff and a great video!
