Love the tree stencils with white grit paste. I am going to brush on matt medium over inked trees before I add white texture paste. Great idea on the perfect pearls. Love the foil look.
@cherylshephard39238 жыл бұрын
to avoid the texture paste from pulling up base color of the trees, I clear embossed the overlay part which then sealed the ink under the embossed area and then added the Texture Paste on the clear embossed area...worked perfectly that way and the Texture Paste (actually, I used SnowTex) stayed bright white with any bleeding of the green into it.

Oh wow I love these! I have to get some of the Delicata inks and the perfect pearls, I love the look, you're right it looks like foiling! As a relatively new card maker I hadn't seen the point of the Delicata inks as I had a few types of metallic embossing powders. I TOTALLY get it now! Thanks as always!

LOL if you only knew how much I struggled back when I started on KZbin and HATING my voice - it took me a long time and a lot of videos to finally be able to just do them how they are now ;) :) - so thank you!! :)

If you water down pva glue 50/50 the apply it to the trees then wait for it to dry it will then create a barrier to stop the dye leeching into the paste..

If I don't have a pallet knife, can I use a regular plastic knife?
@PrairiePaperandInk8 жыл бұрын
yes - you just won't have as much control and ease of application - plastic palette knives are pretty cheap

Beautiful cards! Love your videos! Such great ideas! I do have a question for you...do you have the lawn fawn shammy? If so, how do you Store it so it stays moist? I prefer it over baby wipes just have a hard time keeping it stored and moist for continued use.
@PrairiePaperandInk8 жыл бұрын
you don't want it to stay moist - or at least not long term b/c it will start to smell and go rank :P. I know some people are using decorative salt cellars to store theirs as it gives it a little "protection" during crafting so it doesn't dry out as quickly. I just keep mine in a large tea cup and spritz it with water if it's starting to dry out
@marydiehm93548 жыл бұрын
Prairie Paper & Ink (AmyR) thanks for tip! I will just keep my distress sprayer filled and spray the shammy when I need it

they said they got slammed with orders last week when the kit was released - they expected it to stay in stock until this weekend and it sold out in like 2/3 days - so I assume they have a ton of backlog to work through to get all the orders shipped out

would mica powders stick to stamped image, i have had some for years ,never used them, have you any card ideas using Mica powder .loved the video thank you x
@PrairiePaperandInk8 жыл бұрын
they'd stick but they'd brush/rub off easily after the ink fully dried - I said in the video Perfect Pearls have a binder in them which makes them perfect for a technique like this. And no I don't have any ideas for mica powders sorry I don't own any
