@soUnderground It's good everywhere for the most part. Pipe, medium to huge jumps, ripping turns down the trail, and in pow. I have to work pretty hard to press it on rails, but I had an early one that was a bit stiff, but I think they softened them up a little for production

@bassfishin14 It fits big! I'm 5'8" and the XL goes to a few inches above my knees (I'm wearing an XL in this video). The XL will fit you, but if you like it big, then you would want to go 2X especially since your 6'3". The pants are just a pair of Sessions Gridlock pants! I prefer the extra length and size for riding. Stoked to hear that your interested in my jacket! I spent alot of time trying to figure out the length and cut I wanted. I can't stand jackets that are all short and boxy.

@wallach123 I believe they are the icon soft Habitat rasta's! I snagged them when I was at the Skullcandy office earlier this year. Definitely my favorite headphones that Skdy has made so far. I used the HD Hero with a little ghetto handle I made out of some of the attachments that came in the motorsports package.

@1likestoskate depends what's in the park. If your doing tons of jibbing, and not hitting massive jumps over like 50-60ft then the Era is a good choice. Quantum is a lot stiffer, so it's better for pipe and big jumps, but it's hard to press on rails. It's mostly preference though to be honest. Both are awesome boards!

@TimHumphreys13 жыл бұрын
@TxMISSILE I just sacked up on a scaffolding jump and tried it. It was really soft snow for the landing though. If you can try it into pow, That's ideal. Airbag works well too, but they're always really poppy jumps that are different from what's in the park. From my experience, back 10 dub is 2 tricks. backside 5 kinda flat, and cab underflip. you gotta throw it really hard off the lip, but try not to cork right away. first 540 is flat, then you dunk the 2nd 540. try it when its soft out

@sup3rbanana11 It's a Flow Era. One of those Reverse Camber sticks. Normally I would ride a regular camber board when I'm hitting jumps, but it was really slushy out so I chose to ride a reverse! helps you surf through all the slush

Hey thanks again for responding If it helps at all im about 5' 2". I was also wondering if the flow bindings take away from control at all? Theres been a lot of controversy about if they do or dont! Thanks again! Also Mount hood is a great place to be when theres powder!

aahhh the ol washout strikes again! sounds like you just need to spot your landing early and open up at the correct time! it could be that you're overflipping it, and in an effort to keep your feet down, you turn that extra flip into some spin on landing. I try to spot, open up to slow my rotation, then tighten back up to adjust my rotation so my feet come right under me as i hit the landing. lemme know how it went! :D

@abstraktcs Cool man. That's some good info. It's going down this season at some point or another. It's just one of those tricks you have to go big in order to do it right so the first chuck is always iffy. How did your first one turn out? You get the rotation around the right way?

@SurfSkate26 could be anything, but most likely how you transfer the footage. I use mode R3 to record it. Then transfer it to DVCPROHD720p60. Then use Cinema Tools to conform it to 30fps so it runs 60 frames at 30fps for half speed. Then I put it into final cut
@tryaspatula12 жыл бұрын
I love ur footy Tim - saw it when you first uploaded and couldn't work out what the hell you were spinning - inspired me to get my old ass back in the park to fix my style. Still not ripping like you but at least I can call your run now! Took me ages to find this vid again, glad I did... here goes: BS 7 Nose; Nollie Tame-dog off the deck (revert - let you off on that one ;) FS 3; BS 5; BS 1 Japan; Cab 5; FS Rodeo 5; FS Flat 5; Rail combos I can't name; BS 7 Tail; FS Stale straighty. How'd I do?

Such an amazing video, I know it wasn't your intention but I think riders trying to learn spins could benefit from this as well. The edge to edge set up, head / shoulder turn and keeping the knees up are very pronounced in this vid. More so than a 3rd person view. This video probably gets me more stoked to ride than anything I've seen before!

@SurfSkate26 You need to transfer all the footage because The H.264 codec .mp4 file the camera records in doesn't play very nice with video editors. You need MPEG Streamclip, or use Compressor if you have Final Cut. Transcode them to DVCPROHD720p60 or Apple Prores422 (NOT PRORES422 HD) If you're filming in mode R3 for 60 frames a second, you can use cinema tools which is part of the final cut pro suite to conform the shots and make them play at half speed.

awesome video man!! i see you are rocking the new quantum, nice!! love that board!! just out of curiosity, which setting were you using on the gopro? go flow!!
@TimHumphreys13 жыл бұрын
@AbcZackk I've seen a person or 2 with it on. It's definitely good if you dont think you can hang on to it. Even if I dropped it though, the camera weighs nothing and the housing is pretty strong. I would be really surprised if it breaks from dropping it. especially on snow.
@uclashorty14 жыл бұрын

@burnandnorvegia whaaattt?!?! sick dude! Stoked that ya like it. It's surprisingly waterproof. Looking at the materiel, you would think itll soak up water fast but it's 15k :D Enjoy the extra length for when you inevitably tumble through some snow and you don't get any down your pants or up your shirt! -Tim
@TimHumphreys13 жыл бұрын
@Lift991 hmmm Frontside 3? What edge? let me know exactly, and I'll try and help you more. Stay crouched and low while your in the air. That will help you stay on top of your board. also when you throw it off the takeoff, you want to make a pretty straight set up turn into it. Too wide of a set up will make you loop out or be off balance. Pre-spinning before you get off the lip can throw you off balance too.
@TimHumphreys14 жыл бұрын
@TheOlyboarder21 awww mannnn I don't think I'm going to be able to make it to windells in the winter. I'm always so busy running around with stuff. I was going to come back this summer for session 6 but my ankle is giving me trouble, so I'm going to have to sit this one out : /
@TimHumphreys13 жыл бұрын
@alexgruber93 something that's medium-stiff, regular camber, and the right width. I'm like 5'8" and I usually ride a 155 when I hit big stuff. I usually used the Flow Quantum, but unless you have some meat on your bones, it will be hard to flex because it's pretty stiff. We have something new for next year that's a quantum but softer. It's gonna be called the "Shifty" or "SoCal" if you're in Japan

@LlamaKing123456789 The red sol-x lens is for really bright sunny days. I wouldn't get those lenses if you are planning on night riding. For nights only, I would get a clear lens. For night and low light, I would go with the sensor lens. There isn't really any way of getting around needing 2 different lenses if you are riding during the day and the night
@TimHumphreys14 жыл бұрын
@bauschnlomb1 I used mode R3 which is the 720p 60 fps mode! I batch transfer them all with compressor to either dvcprohd720p60 or apple prores, use cinema tools to conform the clips and then start working on em in final cut!
