I AM UNWELL.
This storyline is about to be the best or worst angst of my life. I cannot believe they're making us wait three weeks to see what happens with Chenford!!
This video is kind of meh, I was starting on something else entirely and then got sidetracked. I wanted to do a little video about their breakup and the direct parallels/lead-up to it, and it kind of grew. I think I could've made this video easily ten minutes long based on all the clips I cut, but obviously had to cut it down. Hopefully, the point gets portrayed well and didn't lose the plot much!
There were some parallels that didn't fit in the time limit, some I didn't think about until after posting (hate everything), and some that I legit just could not find it in myself to put in the video because it hurt so much to put without a resolution (looks at "You deserve someone that's worth the effort" and all of Tim's breakdowns and how he truly does not believe he's worth the effort, and the show has yet to have Lucy tell him he is - IT WILL HAPPEN).

I am not doing good at all. We the fans have been waiting for Chenford to happen for so long and we did not even get to enjoy what we were longing for. I can understand the way Tim feels and he wants to work on himself but the writers could have made him tell Lucy to give him some time, let him figure out his "mess" not end the relationship and walk away. I noticed the Rookie had the most viewers % last night on a poll, I would hate to see their ratings go down.😭😭

Wow, this edit just blew my mind. I have tears in my eyes because of how well you put all the interactions in the right order. This video perfectly shows that it is not about them breaking up but Tim finding himself - he has been following a weird code all his life which just does not work anymore and thus he needs to find himself. Lucy IS incredible and a better person than he is - that is why he needs to work things out for himself in order to be able to find himself as the best partner he can possibly be at her side. This was so beautiful. I love them so much. Also note to people who are personally upset that they broke them up, chill the fck out. You’ve been burned by tv shows and it shows. I don’t think The Rookie is one of them. Mel and Eric get along great and they actually care about these characters. Chenford will get back together. They’re THE ship of the show. Unless one of the actors decide to unexpectedly leave the series (which we can doubt bc Eric and Mel loves their jobs!), this ship is ENDGAME. This break up makes sense for Tim’s character, this video is proof of that. When they inevitably fight about her UC career in the future lol this breakup time where they BOTH work on themselves will make so much them stronger for it. So chill. Angsty scenes is what makes ships great. They may not get back together until season 7 but that’s okay. But they WILL get back together, there’s so much more story to tell about this couple.

This is a bogus story line. Tim lied to protect his career and lock up the bad guy. He didn't break any laws. He says that Lucy is too good for him and he doesn't deserve her. Nonsense. Remember in Season 1 when Nolan and Lucy lied to IAB when she was in the shower and the brother of the guy Nolan killed showed up at his house for revenge? A little white lie there and the writers got past it. Over the last 6 seasons, Nolan has evolved and Lucy and Tim are now the heart and soul of the show. Get them back together soon please!
