I like your reaction but honestly I couldnt disagree more with the point on demographics. Rock, punk and metal pretty much all came from disenfranchised kids with nothing, hell rock and roll was the same black kids that wouldve been rapping today. Its one of the reasons you see a lot of rappers wearing like metallica shirts and metal singers/musicians rocking NWA merch back in the day. As time has moved on and both genres have grown and both had their own form of "mainstream" where yeah most fans will have more money but id argue its the same in hip hop
