Yes it is D minor good call! I notice Ripper did Headin out to the Highway in Gmin not A with Priest yet it sounds great Very full with lower cording Rob doesn't do . Yet Halford has a bit more brightness on B4 C5 upper octave Rob used to love selling that B4 over and over now he tunes down as well

His own songs jyst seem to lack something. In priest it was the cheese lyrics, in Iced Earth he suffered from having to follow Matt Barlow and IMO he didn't fit, in yngwie he had more cheesy lyrics not to mention being overpowered by yngwie. His own music is decent but on the meh side. His stage presence is really bad cause the shadow boxing and stupid quirky looks isn't appealing to some. His cover songs are absolutely amazing though and thats his bread and butter unfortunately.
