I feel you on this! I never was able to get on the Zoom train fully, always avoided it if I could. I found it very draining. On the flip side, I can imagine the live interaction with an audience that Colbert misses, he is a public presence and to have that instant feedback multiplied by so many individuals in one room can pretty much be an adrenaline boost for him. Context: I’m an introvert by nature, but I love to write (poetry and other musings) and the few times I dared to recite at an open mic would just BLOW me away always from the crowds feedback. Doing something as bold as managing/influencing a crowd can be a sort of high. (Something i hope to get better at). In the meantime, I’ll enjoy what we have still: our darling Evie and the authenticity of a close knit crew and their cackles and endless giggling. Life seems better in a needfully simple way with those vibes.

For all people doing service jobs who greet each day, person, and experience on it's own merits and not let a previous experience sour them, no matter how many years you have done this job, I commend you. So many people become rude and jaded from doing these jobs and many of the customers' rudeness don't help the situation any. These people aren't really appreciated until we don't have easy access to them. They should get paid better and shown greater appreciation. So, Thank you to all of you in the service industry who feel underrated, under appreciated, and soulless. We need you! We appreciate you! Keep up the good work! 🙂👍
