I was 15 when this came out and it absolutely changed my life. I remember waiting for roots radical to come on the radio so I could record it onto a cassette tape! I've always had something off this album (and all their others) on tape, cd, computer or ipod ever since. Its pretty damn fascinating to be able to hear about their creation 20 years later. These songs are timeless. Awesome band.

I was 11 years old when I heard ...and out come the wolves. I was already a fan from hearing Sidekick on Punk o rama 2 and going out to my local record shop and finding Let's Go and eventually Rancid S/T. Then my friend Dan played me Roots Radicals and I knew it was my scene, my life from that point on punk rock has been my religion. I am 37 now and I still love the music. Hey Mom, it's not a phase.

I have been a musician since 1967. I like Tim Timebomb. A Lot. I saw the Ramones in 1981, the Specials in 1980, the Dead Kennedys in 1981 just so you know where I'm comin' from. "She's Drunk All the Time" is a Total Bomb.

First ever album where I was ever left awestruck. Every song was amazing, almost the first ska I got into (heard Op Ivy first). Did the bass from Maxwell Murder and Journey to the End of East Bay for my practical GCSE music and it got me an A. Cheers Matt 👍🏻

Arguably the best punk album ever made. For our generation , perhaps. Definitely. For Tims generation , its probably something by The Clash or Ramones, Sex Pistols, etc. Right? (dont get me wrong, those are great too) But this here album, its just a classic , even RnR album, beginning to end, the core, its great. Its beautiful. Its just gorgeous art, b&w punk rock, raw, in your face, real, deep and honest. Its just unbelievable that a punk band could create such a great album, also Life Wont Wait. Fucking classic, timeless. Doesnt get boring, can be heard anywhere, anytime. What else can I say? Thank you Rancid.

+thebarrochannel I'm a few years younger than him but I guess of their generation... My favourite punk album too. These songs are like old friends - sound so fresh 20 years after I got the record; and their friendship too. You can hear it. What a great show...

***** Op Ivy Energy is definitely a classic and stands on its own for ska/punk, in my humble opinion only seconded by Suicide's Machines Destruction by Definition. Minor Threat's is THE classic in HC. Its true London Calling could be the reason Rancid did this album an its major in fluence, also for Life Wont Wait. To me London Calling is a mega classic, all songs are good. Beautiful, timeless. For many punks for that generation it mustve blown their minds, same as "...And out " did with ours.

This album brings so much joy to my soul every time I listen to it. Everyone has a few significant albums that influenced the journey of their lives and this is one of mine. And those choruses man. Talk about hooks. The only negative about this album is that it ends too soon. I've only stumbled across this video and it's great to listen to the album with the commentary from the band. Lovin' it.

Unlike a lot of punk, even though the overall sound is the same (which is fine BTW) the individual songs really stand out. They don't just blur together as good-sounding mish-mash, each song is delivered like it matters. It's a great one!

He's really up there isn't he! He seems to have a good imagination and a solid sense of playing expressively. Rock/punk bassists often play plodding licks with little more than root pounding. Nothing wrong with that at all--but, I like to actually listen to the bass. It's a favourite instrument of mine. Matt makes it sing :) Scott Shiflett of Face to Face is awesome too! kzbin.info/www/bejne/fGfGcqyNms1qd5o

This is such a seminal album, both for punk/music in general and in my life personally. This was the first punk album I ever heard, along with NoFx - Punk in Drublic, which I heard on the same day. I was nine years old when this came out and I remember hearing it at my friend's house through his older brother. It created a life long love of punk rock and music in general. Most importantly to me, it eventually brought me to Operation Ivy, which I consider my favorite punk band, and one of my top 5 favorite bands altogether, along with Nirvana, The Doors, Vampire Weekend, and The Postal Service. All very different bands I know, but as I said I have a love for music in general, spanning all genres. I'm sure nobody cares about any of this, but I felt compelled to share as ...And Out Come the Wolves just means so much to me.

Fantastic album, but I've slowly discovered that you guys have put out so much more great music that I wasn't aware of. I like the way your songs get better and better with each new listening. I never get sick of them. Looking forward to buying the new cd as soon as possible. I hope that I can see you guys in concert some time soon. Good fuckin times now near midnight I look ahead and who do I fuckin run straight on head on into but My tennage idol\look alike (no homo) so yeah there he is O.g. young Tim mf time bomb 💣 with a brand new mrs. Tim Armstrong in tow, Brodie w camcorder in hand. I salute thee, the night had just become the best of my life til then. So Tim has a Dickies jacket like mine an a golf hat and chain around his neck we take the dopest picture he got his arm around my neck throwin up his punk rock gangsign.i kept that picture in my lil wallet photo folder, until July I'm walking backstage at the del mar fairgrounds warped tour and who do I see. I yell lint!!,at dude, and so dude don't say nothing at all it's just me and him he sees me and stops walks over to me and we bump fists, I tellhim bro I got something to show u . I pull out my wallet and show him the picture from new years and he was like wow! He signed the back of it for me .and then went on to straight kill it on stage, where me and homie from new years Eve wanted to take in every minute of the 20 minute set so we climbed on top of a news van and watched the madness and mayhem ensue from the freshly dented bus.! To become the best my life barely 15, just wanted to say I'm still rocking w you after all this time and a 9 year tour of California, thanks to c.d.c..i made sure to make rancid name rang like bells all through CA dept of corrections level 3 and 4 yards and hole time ad seg group yards and dog cages but all true story and so in the spirit of 69 cameradery all truth be told..Rancid cool as real a.F. people from CALi are definitely still some of my heros.
