Though I know the last series of Miami Vice was seen as not in keeping with those before it, I always found the feeling - 'vibe' if you like - was phenomenal. My evidence? Well, here I am still talking about it after all these years, like those in the comments below. Vice fans made a connection with something special that we can all turn to at any point in our lives, whatever we face, safe in the knowledge a simple chord progression or scene can transcend it. Thanks, Marty, for keeping the spirit alive.

After the Sonny Burnett story arc concluded, the characters started to look really burned out, as did the actors. Which I can totally understand - every episode was shot in Miami, every episode was akin to filming a two-hour movie, the stunt scenes, action sequences, etc... were very intense and the rest of the decor that went with it must have been much more exhausting than doing a court drama show.
