I have a round face shape, and I’ve never been a fan when it comes to square or rectangle glasses you know? Because like, I’ve always liked round glasses with big frames and stuff but then the Internet says stuff like square and rectangle glasses are much more better for round face shapes so that always put me down when it came to wearing my glasses😕

i actually think the rounds are better because your face is round and will compliment your cheecks while if u wear square then it will be the only thing with angle on your face and ppl will notice ur glasses first then your natural shape

Fellow round face here! I found some frames for my very first pair of prescription glasses that I like. They are rectangular but a little square too. Kind of like the ones you showed at the start but a clear dark grey on the front and matte black on the arms. I love them. I also think that style of glasses suits guys with prominent eyebrows like I have. I'm definitely into the geek sheek thing too! I like the Harry Potter glasses on you though. I'm 40 and my eyesight has just degraded enough to need mild prescription lenses now. I was kind of excited to get them though! I like changing my look. I think the rounder frames suit younger faces more too.

I'm getting my first glasses, getting old😂 When I picked my frame, I chose small cat eye/rectangle with black frame on top and gold metal frame under with a light brown tint. In my opinion us round face ladies should wear small glasses, bigger frames just make our round faces look bigger. Thanks for the video.

There are several factors to consider.. not just shape but the thickness of frames, frame material and how they sit on the face - high or low (which can be adjusted somewhat). So... it's more than just frame shape....

I think you look good on round glasses. Firstly, the round glasses you tried on are not exactly round. Secondly, the idea is to wear something carrying similar edge as our face, it is softness in your case, and it is beautiful. The square ones balance it out but does not compliment and flatter your face shape that much.

The square and the round ones look best. I think with soft features dark frames add too much harsh lines and end up over powering your face. Rounder faces look younger.

Seek fames that create balance. Generally it is the opposite shape frame from your face. I have a round face like yours. However with round frames the large the circle still helps to create balance. Unusually I go for square or oval but. I saw a cat eye I liked.

So I was supposed to get new glasses frames last week but ended up not being able to so j was going to go this week but got a bad sunburn so I know I can't pick out glasses while being pink because that's not my normal skin color😂 I really want to get circle ones because I feel like they'd go good with my circular face. Rn I have the hipster style glasses and I feel like after 10 month's they just aren't the ones for me but again I wasn't expecting I'd need glasses so I didn't look at witch ones would look good on me. IMO Aviators only look good on extremely good looking people. But I also think we should wear whatever glasses we like no matter what those "glasses masters" and "face-shape experts" said. I have an oval-roundish face shape and I always went for colorful/transparent/rimless rectangular glasses, bought about a dozen of them for the past 24 years. I only bought prescription oval-shaped glasses once and I don't think I looked very good on it. I also bought a transparent big round shape once a couple of years ago and I think I look terrible...it made my dumb face looks even more idiotic, buahahaha. I only wear them for 3 days before dumping them and buy yet another rectangular one. PS: I think you look good in any of these eyeglasses.

The pupil of your eye needs to be placed inthe mid point of the lens horizontally. The perscription of the lense should also be taken into account.

Lynn Wolverton I'm getting glasses that I have to wear all the time and I have a round face, so I'm having a hard time choosing a pair that would flatter my facial features and only came across round cat like ones and huge round ones. My irises come at least half way to the mid point, but they could be sized, not only that but I play sports. Amy advice as to which shape the glasses should be? Like what do you think?

@@wateva8094 I think of glasses as a medical necessity first and fashion Item second. One should not be sacrificed for the other. Most Optitions will have access to 1000's of glasses in addition to what you see and larger stores turn over their stock regularly. Finding the right shaped frame should not be too challenging sort of like finding boot cut pants at the end of season when all the stores only have skinny jeans. Her advice on face shapes and frames is spot on. Additional sources are also good. How your prescription lens sits in the frame is critical, if you wear trifocals the lenses can not be short..this type of information is critical.
