Those techniques are super good I´m gonna try that with my horse.

As always, a great breakdown of how the horse's body affects things that you wouldn't think of. Thanks Tim! ❤️🌵☀️⛈️🌈☮️🐎

My horse does a lot of these things too. Shoulders down, slowly speeding up, resistant behind the girth and in the poll. 😅

Excellent video. Might want to mention why being heavy in the front isn't a good thing to the novice. Have a nice weekend

I did a test ride on a big gelding that stopped on the forehand and it was a shock to me. He was a western pleasure champion with some harsh training in his past. A massive boy that wasn’t naturally made for the awful crippled looking frame and gate that was the fashion of the day in the western pleasure classes. He was being bought by a lovely lady that would love him til the end.

I have a new horse who does this not only under saddle but when I am with him on the ground. Even being haltered - head comes up and he uses his shoulders to escape... would love some advice🙏

Lots and lots of leg yields. Every time his head goes up move his shoulders sideways.

Wow - I am so thankful for your reply!! Leg yield him on the ground?

I am not sure I know how to do this in hand - I can disengage hind quarters but I find the shoulders on the ground to be harder.... again thank you for your excellent videos!
