"Someday My Prince Will Come" is a classic composition by Frank Churchill and lyrics by Larry Morey. It is from the 1937 Disney film "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs".
It has become a staple of the professional jazz musician's repertoire and provides several unique challenges, not the least of which is the 3/4 time signature.
In this video I demonstrate how to voice the chords with the melody on top on the vibraphone, plus two different ways to approach practicing improvisation over the form.
You'll learn all the scales you need (major, mixolydian b9 b13, minor and diminished scales) and I've also pointed out where in the form you need to use each scale.
