My vise is able to move. What am I doing wrong? I've followed all the setup instructions online.

Can you give is a bit more information, please James? How is it moving?

@@timbeconaus I've removed the oil and set the screw so the jaws are parallel. In the upright position, the vise can still move if pushed with some force. If I switch the vise on its side, the lock is never engaged and will rotate freely. Thanks for your time. Edit- the casting is causing my problems. There are two different tolerances so I can't switch the vise to the other position without first adjusting the screw on the base.

G'day from DownUnder Jim! How are ya? We understand. But Australian's spell it with a 'c'. Mind you, Australian's say words like 'guvment' instead of 'government' , 'vunnerable' instead of 'vulnerable' and 'excape' instead of 'escape'. Hey, Americans have their spelling differences too! Surprise with a 'z'? Colour without a 'u'? The list goes on. Thanks for watching Jim. And for commenting too!
