The gameplay of Mechwarrior 5 is split in two different parts. On the one hand you will have to manage your resources, hire new crew members, outfit your Mechs and travel through the Inner Sphere star map. But the action starts as soon as you get into the cockpit of your Battlemech yourself to fulfill contracts on the battlefield to earn more C-Bills and progress the story. I will review the weapon systems, battlemechs, show you how to build the loadouts and train your pilots and take a look at all the different mission types and upgrades of the MW5 Heroes of the Inner Sphere DLC.

You might also want to move the Locust LAM to cold storage as you haven't used it for a while now. Also, how many of the other houses hate you? They al seem to want to betray you at the first possible chance.

You mentioned maybe getting artemis for more accuracy. If you never noticed the smaller LRMs also have less spread. You have the hardpoints and podspace 5 LRMs + artemis + fire control systems should get you sub 1m spread on missiles. Can core assault mech pretty well without too much splash.

Once you start putting endgame gear on assault mechs or superheavys, the game gets broken, but in a fun way

Chainguns shred as long as you don't continuously fire they won't get to 100% and jam temporarily. I love them. They're like Mike's Red Hot. I put that $h!t on everything.

the annihilator quirks for beam duration are for the MXP lasers, theyre coded in the mod as an LBX for the spread modifiers, but a medium laser as the base damage.

Hey Bara, check the Star league Black Knight that you got from the Fortress Mission. 9 Energy Hardpoints! And the star league Relic quirk. That thing can be a sick laserboat!

If I have YAML set to not strip in cold storage (it will still strip perks), I have it set to charge at a reduced rate. If I have it set to "No charge" I turn on the strip mech flag. I usually have Cold Storage set to strip to make the economy force you to choices unless you like paying over 5 Mil per 90 days :)

I'd love to see you do optimized lance build for high tier mission types as a series. i.e. You do a full build video for each lance type then a combat vid where you test said builds. I'm always interested seeing how you compare and contrast builds. Also in military operations you're often limited in equipment procurement. Maybe a mini series.

Hey Baradul, would really advice you to check out the Chain Guns cause, low weight per weapon, very high ammo count per ton, and in close to mid range deadly as hell. even the big spread isnt a problem cause of the huge ammo count and the rate of fire. But the biggest benefit is that you dont need XL engines for your mechs to mount firepower like an assault mech into a medium mech chassis. Cause the Chain Guns outclass AC 20s easily!!! And mostly its the perfect weapon for you cause, they are big fun to shot with :)

Just so you know there is a box to tick in the mod options that allows you to turn off the mechs keeping their builds when moved to cold storage. So you can have them be stripped as usual and then not need to keep them on upkeep.

Locust has cooling of 2.0 and weapon heat 1.26, maybe switch to singles and add ferro? Then with weight reduction - put the chaingun there.

I've found myself just using Clan XL engines in just about all important mechs. Better than IS XL.

I am sick of all the damage hackers in MWO and bought the dropship version today. Does anyone know what I am missing with the new packs? I am unsure if I should play it through with the first two expansions and then get the rest one at a time or get them all at the start. I am interested in the quirk aspect but haven’t seen any yet. I started playing the campaign first before doing the career because if I didn’t, it would be too dull to do later.

Isn't your Locust PB overcooled ? 1.26 heat gen vs 2 cooling. That's 3 tons of heat sinks
