I called KAT "the greatest shooting big man in NBA history" a few years back everywhere I could post it. It eventually caught on and became a whole big thing. I think KAT is almost great. He has a chance to be great if he can just get it together and be more consistent. Most trade packages I've seen aren't going to help the Wolves. I wouldn't turn away 10.8 assists/game. I'd be interested to see what Murray at the Wolves 1 would be like.. I'd take the randle/bogdanovic/2 1sts deal as fast as I could. But most of them aren't worthwhile. If the right team comes up with the right offer, I think KAT will benefit from the change of scenery and I think the team would pull the trigger. Go Wolves! :)

Good show guys. Love the post-season Wolves coverage! KAT's a good player. If they still want him to be core though, they should start thinking more about load management. Big guys who begin to get lower body injuries tend to get them even more as they get older such as Yao Ming, Greg Oden, Porzingis, Pekovic, etc. That's a lot of weight on the human body up and down the court for what could be 100 games a year. If they decide to get another star-caliber player, I'd like a guy whose skill set isn't as close to Ant's. I like how Tatum is primarily a combo forward versus Jaylen Brown playing mostly at guard. Ideally, I'd love a 3/4 who could shoot, rebound, and D up or a straight-up good ball-handling point guard who could shoot. Just like Doogie said in the Scoop SKOR segment, the chemistry of a possible new star player has to work with Ant.

I absolutely love this trade proposal! PG: Murray SG: Edwards SF: McDaniels PF: Reid C: Gobert Bench: - Conley - Alexander Walker - Anderson - Bogdonavic We can win it all with that 9 man rotation. The only reason we lost to the Mavs is because we were exhausted and believe it or not, Conley was a liability when matching up with Mavs back court. Having to guard Luka or Kyrie at 37 years old is a nightmare. But now with this trade, you can share the load with Murray. I also have faith in who we pick in the draft because we’ve been drafting well the past couple of years. Make this trade happen immediately!

We would be best suited to now try to find a defensive big with some semblence of an offensive ability or oustide shot, and trade rudy rather than kat in my opinion. Rudy unlocked the defensive floor for these guys. I just dont see Rudy's effectiveness window being better suited for Ant's window than i do with Kat. Or dont trade anyone and run it back like i wanted to last year. And then we made it to the WCF when 80% of the fanbase was asking to blow up the team. If i have to hear an entire offseason again with Kat trade ideas my brain is gonna explode.

That mavs series really came down to kat no showing that whole series & also getting nothing from naw / rudy not being effective on offense mostly . Our biggest need is either jaden becomes our 3rd high level scorer or we trade for one . Also cant keep getting nothing from our draft picks all good teams get at minimum a rotation player out of every other draft we havent had one in years all of moore,minott,miller provided nothing cant happen going forward either miller has to be a rotation player or whoever we pick at 23 has to be in the rotation this year with slo mo , morris both leaving in free agency opportunities for youngs guys to earn roles im assuming we go pg in the draft or at least a combo guard

Blaming Kat without pointing out that Ant disappeared against Dallas as well is disgusting. Trading Kat for Murray doesn't fix the problem. Defensively Kat was the reason we advanced this post season. Gobert was the liability defensively against Denver and offensively against Dallas. You need to trade Gobert for a younger more offensive friendly center like Nic Claxton or Jared Allen. THAT'S where your fix is. And they're cheaper and bring you under the second apron. Then you can go after a Tyrus Jones to help take the load off of Conley and go get a shooter. How is it that Ant gets a pass for not being conditioned enough for this playoff run but not giving Kat that same grace when they both flamed out in the same series? Did that 1 WCF win not come from Kat's hot hand?🤔 You need to bring on an NBA expert for these kinds of talks. Because you guys aren't it

I am not a Murray fan personally. His advance stats aren’t that good. He was a - net player this year. I would rather look at Orl and try and get Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs. Bith fit perfect with Ant’s age and are two way players. You can sign Franz bother for the size we are losing in KAT. Conely mins come way back. Suggs,Ant,McDaniel, Wagner,Rudy/Naz bring it.

KAT for the Wolves seems very similar to what Kirk was for the Vikings. Overall really good regular season player but also isn’t good enough or clutch enough to be a #1 on a championship team. I think KAT would be phenomenal as a #3 option on a team, however, I worry he makes too much money to be a #3.

KAT is a huge reason we made it to the WCF. KAT is also a huge reason we didn’t make it to the Finals. Financially trading KAT would be smart. I would love to see KAT as the 3 option, but it’s IMPOSSIBLE to acquire a #2 option, while paying guys like Gobert, KAT, Jaden, Naz to not be a top 2 option (if that makes sense).

That's what sucks and the whole conundrum... we want to keep KAT but then financially kinda stuck. If they do run it back with minimal moves, a lot does ride on the development of Jaden's offensive game, Naz maybe working on iso-situation for himself, Ant making the next leap by the end of next season, and NAW being a more consistent shooter; that in of itself would push them over the Mavs... definitely need floor generals like Conley to help the offense.

The issue is Wolves are always playing 4 on 5 when we’re on offense, at least when Gobert is in. Celtics also have 6 players who can get 20 pts ANY night. Wolves have 1-2.

Just because he cant shoot doesnt mean he cant score, and more importantly facilitate others scoring with his screens and offensive rebounds. I think Gobert is the most underrated player in the NBA because he's not a shooter and a lot of the things hes great at are things the average basketball fan doesnt care about or notice. But Gobert is exponentially more important to this team's WINNING then KAT ever has been or will be.

I'd personally try to trade Gobert instead of KAT. I don't think the highest paid player on your team should be a liability on Offense. Maybe try moving Kat back to center and picking up another person who can score/distribute? I thought KAT defense looked good in the playoffs... Maybe even better than Gobert's at times.

If you can get Murray and Bog, do it. We’d miss KATs shooting in the starting lineup no doubt, but we’re more lacking a 2nd creator. Murray has been a defensive dog in the past (although hasn’t been seen as such with Trae next to him). His contract is entirely reasonable and leaves the possibility of later getting a true #2 by moving Rudy.

I just watched a couple interviews from Murray. He's immature and not what we need here in Minnesota. We need stability. Like Mike Conley at 21 years old stability. Ant was amazing in the first round all three times he's played. Look what he did in game 7 versus Denver and how piss poor he shot against the Mavs. Skor lives to shit on Kat but he wasn't the only player to shit the bed in the WCF. If the Wolves trade Kat we can look forward to 6th'-8th seeds and 1st round exits and every year Rudy gets older.

I would sign off on getting Murray and other assets for KAT. The Murray/Young experiment isn't working out in Atlanta. KAT's going into this 10th season next year. Time for a change. KAT's been a great teammate but he just can't find that gear mentally to get into the Jokic/Embiid territory. I think KAT gets the Hawks over the hump into a top 6 east team. Murray gives us better depth at the PG position, better shot creation, and Murray isn't a slouch on defense either.

I actually like this idea. Murray would have to get with the program defensively tho (Not that He doesnt play any or is a cone) But Hes just as consistent offensively, can go off at any moment for 40+. but most of all He would bring more of a killer mentality/competitor spirit.. My biggest worry would be him shooting you out of games… But at the same time Hes only played for teams where He had to force things alot of the time

I would do that Hawks trade in a nanosecond. Keeps Conley fresh and replaces the Reid scoring off the bench. It also gives us more of a scoring and perimeter defense punch in our starting lineup. Imagine Murray, Ant, and Jaden defending the wing. Nobody will ever get a shot off. With Gobert in the paint and assuming Reid works on his D in the off-season, that could be a historic defensive team.
