I can’t stand when Lana is in this type of setting. She’s a soloist. Not part of a three girl group. This ain’t The Supremes 2.0. This ain’t a Destiny’s Child tribute band. It should be Lana and Lana only. This makes her look like the out of place, out of step, out of shape, out to dry part of a female trio who can’t keep up with the other two girls grabbing the attention. Whose idea was it? I thought this experiment had been nixed after her last concert tour. Maybe I was just hoping.... If the other two girls are supposed to provide back up then they should back way the fuck up and not stand right alongside of her where they basically overpower her as she falls behind them. Ugh. Lana doesn’t need cheesy choreography. She needs to ditch the side show and reclaim the spotlight. ALONE.
@Iceis_Phoenix5 жыл бұрын
Lana is comfortable in her own skin. She knows those 2 dancers can't put a patch on her ass. Lana is so talented with just her words alone. I am embarssed for you. You're vapid and shallow.
@anthonycoca22025 жыл бұрын
ícҽís թհօҽղíx awww... Did you learn new words today? How quaint. They best be used someplace more applicable and targeted on someone more befitting of such faulting adjectives as they do not ascribe to my personal character in the belittling attack you just made in your unjust claim. Then again, having never met, you wouldn’t know my true character, would you? No. You wouldn’t. However, my assessment of you from your response is that you’re judgmental, snide, and know nothing at all about production. If you did, you would know that this has nothing to do with Lana being “comfortable in her own skin”. Nor is it about the silly remark you made about LDR’s feelings about her “dancers”. It’s about placement, aesthetics, presentation, etc. In a word ~ STAGING. If anyone should be embarrassed, it should be you. You seem to know nothing of it, or the production, presentation, aesthetics, and all else it took to create the character that transformed Elizabeth Woolridge Grant into LANA DEL REY, of which there were three incarnations before they stuck to the one that worked onstage and off. Not knowing her stage fright and slight awkwardness on stage, the team ditched the huge wigs and platform stilettos and decided to place her behind a standing microphone in dresses and gown where she became the “chanteuse” instead of a wind up pop tart bopping around stage. That’s why placing her BEHIND two high energy props that are lip-synching in FRONT of her is a wrong move. In any situation or setting you NEVER place the main subject or central feature in a place where it gets lost in the background or pair it with something that pulls focus unless it’s done with intention and reason. Even then, it’s only momentary. Even within the realm and illusion of LDR, this stunt comes off as disingenuous and forced. It would be better if she were up there with just her talent. Just her words. Without the sideshow seemingly upstaging her. Even without them she’s not alone up there with “just her words”. She’s there with a whole production team. A team I’m much more than familiar with. So go find someone else to be “embarrassed” for. You’re boring and trivial to me.
@marlenasien87935 жыл бұрын
I understand what's you're saying, and I agree. But ultimately it's her choice, and she always does what she does for reasons. She probably has a certain visual in her mind. I think this would have worked for her 1st album, but not now with this folk phase she's embracing.
