Tim’s candor and outlook is reminiscent of a WW1 soldier, sitting in a water-logged trench in Alsace-Lorraine. His buddy since childhood is laying next to him. He’s dead and you periodically make a fast moving gesture with your hands to scare away the ravenous rats from his already half gnawed-away face. The truth, pours out with spit and venom from his head. This is from someone who sees the end, and instead of screaming or crying at the injustice of it all, you laugh hysterically. In that brief moment you are momentarily away from all the horror and injustice.
