Time and Place feat. Allie Trimm - from 'Picnic at Hanging Rock' in concert

'Picnic at Hanging Rock' is a new stage musical adaptation by playwright Hilary Bell (Book & Lyrics) and composer Greta Gertler Gold (Music) of an iconic Australian novel by Joan Lindsay which was made into a famous film by Peter Weir ('Dead Poet's Society', 'The Truman Show') and more recently a Netflix series.
The story is a mystery ripe for reinterpretation, female-driven with the inclusion of a First Nations Australian perspective.

Carpet of rusty moss. Blooms of green lichen. Dark smell of creek water. Ferns, black against a pale sky. Torn muslin, fluted like a nautilus shell. This quiet beauty. Everything happens at the right time. Everything happens in the right place. Look around you with love. This is our moment, brief and shining, on earth, This is our moment, bright and fleeting, in time. And who could squander it in grievance? And who could take it all for granted? And who could ever wish it any other way? We’re here and we’re gone.
