Everyone is working hard including Thomas with his studies and his book learning. Next generation is coming along and I think that's pretty neat.

I also know you work with Auburn on several crop programs. that's great, everybody has to be somewhere. Had one blowout with 1000 bu on. Bent the rim. Bent it back to where it was close and got another 6 years until the new tires bead failed so I still got to buy a new rim and tire. Hopefully it holds better for you.🤣

Wouldn't buy that tire brand again. Hardly worn.
@OldGuyAdventureАй бұрын
So when you have to offload cotton you can turn on the picker and use the vacuum to put the cotton on the ground back into the basket? Too bad there wasn't an attachment that would act like a vacuum cleaner wand and allow you to vacuum up the cotton on the ground. Kind of reminds me of a Grain Vac which often has a wand that allows a person to suck up the remainder of a bin of grain. I have seen the shortfalls of cold hydraulics when I was farming many years ago, it is too bad they do not have heating in those tanks to a climitize the oil so flow rates are consistent. The biggest challenges are when oil is using for environments like blowing snow.

I listened to the part where y'all were shoving pucked cotton into the cubby holes of the combine twice but I never heard or figured out why it happened. I think I'd throw a leaf rake in my truck for such an emergency

would a blower work better and save some time on a cleanout.

I'm wondering why you don't have a No.Till.Drill to plant your cover crops?
@garyjohnson1207Ай бұрын
Hello I was wondering have you ever considered a test plot of twin row soybeans….two rows on one bed…..Great Plains has a bulk fill 5200 planter that will offset on hitch and also plant single row

I know I've asked this before, but what's the purpose of cutting soybeans diagonal to the row? We haven't grown beans since the early 90s but when we did, we always cut with the rows. Just wondering
@joelmoody1569Ай бұрын
The beans feed into the head better,and you use the whole cutter bar instead of just the sickle sections alined with the row.That way the cutter bar is worn more evenly. Also I think you harvest more crop per hour since you are putting a lot more into the combine .
@tomyoung1532Ай бұрын
What people in the north know about cotton pickers you could write on a matchbook.

A tire that does no driving, steering or braking, will never wear off the tread. It just rolls with the ground.

Do yall plant alot of DP&L?

a few matches at 12 am. can fix combine problem lol.

Unless it's changed you're not suppose to over grease the sickle head.
